Celebrity sightings...

Has anyone seen any celebrities (not in a show) while in Vegas?

Last time I went I was playing in Harrahs, and saw Matt and Amy from Little People Big World go by. Amy seemed nice and smiled and waved at people as they passed through.

Who else has seen anyone famous there? Maybe spotted on the street, or in a casino or restaurant or club?

If you go on big event weekends ( UFC fights, boxing fights, Super Bowl, award shows) you're more likely to run into a star or five. My fave encounter: Tyson/McNeeley fight night loong ago...

like callmeirresponsible says, 100's over the years.

You cant go to the HArd Rock on the weekend without seeing someone that is considered a celeb or athlete.

Almost 10 years ago on my first trip to Vegas we were walking around seeing the sights and stopped to play some blackjack at Mandalay Bay. (This was just before I got glasses and my eyes were going on me a bit) While we were sitting there I saw a portly gentleman a few tables over and jokingly said, "Hey look, its John Goodman". Turns out it actually was him, playing solo (not for long as other people stated recognizing him as well) at a $5 table in the middle of the day.

I saw David Cook at the airport in Vegas right when the top 12 contests of American Idol were announced... he was actually on our flight back to Indianapolis, which I didn't know at the time, so when I saw him in the airport, I ran over to him (even though he was on the phone) and asked for his autograph. It was kind of surreal... he was with no one, no body guards or anything... then again, the show was just starting up. I was surprised at how many people recognized him, though. Things could have gotten crazy.

This mom and her young daughter sat next to him on the flight home and looked like they were bugging the crap out of him. Poor guy!

Also saw Carrot Top on another trip in the airport walking around the food court... sad thing is, I think he was searching for attention... I mean, you can't miss a character like him! He is so freaking buff, but damn what an "interesting" face.

Oh ya, my partner said he saw the guy from the Austin Power movies... Dr. Evil's son, I can't think of his name right now walking through the Venetian.

Verne Troyer (Mini-Me).

Haven't run across one in Vegas yet, but had a nice chat at a gate waiting lounge at LAX with Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice once. Really nice easygoing guys.
