Where to stay??

Hi we are four girls travelling to vegas in july for a week of clubs shopping and checking out all the casinos and main attractions. Is there anywhere central that you could recommend to stay that would be close to most of the action on the strip.

We have been looking at the Luxor but have had people tell us that its a long walk to the main areas.

So just after a little bit of help from people that have been before.

And I know that there are most of these things down the whole strip but we were thinking there must be an area that is the main area for this sort of scene.

Thanks

Ginny, Luxor is way south on the strip so for what you want, not a good location. I don't know what your budget per night for rooms is, but assuming the price range at Luxor, mid strip you might check out Harrah's, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, TI or maybe even Mirage.

About three months before your trip start checking out www.smartervegas.com. That site lists promotional codes for the various hotels and there are usually some good deals out there. If you do book now, look at the various hotel websites and book directly with the hotel. If you do that and then find a better price later, you can contact the hotel and change your reservation to the new lower price unless it's one of those deals where refunds aren't allowed. Always read the fine print on all offers!

As far as being right at the heart of the action, it doesn't get any closer than Bill's and Flamingo.

The GO room at Flamingo would be something to check out. They are cool modern rooms perfect for a younger crowd. Just go down the elevator, walk through the casino and you're right on the strip!

Bill's rooms are a little bit older, but still adequate. The room prices are always a good deal, and you are smack dab in the middle of the strip.

Need some more info from you,,,,price willing to pay for rooms? There are many different price points to deal with. Also, do you want one room or 2? 4 girls in one room may get hellish.

I think you should go for two GO rooms at Flamingo. They have a great pool, it is close to a lot of attractions and if you want to shop and club you can cab, walk, monorail, or Deuce it. The rooms are kinda cool. Another thought would be Planet Hollywood. It has a good vibe. It is close to things, and close to places with clubs.

TI or ceasers, I would not chose flamingo unless you pay for a go room as they are bad rooms otherwise. TI is near the fashionmall and encore which has great nightclub and also is near TAO in venitian. Ceasers has great shopping eating and clubs also plus its only a short stroll into bellagio which has further hip clubs. I would stay in this mid strip area and if your pushed for cash you could look at planet hollywood, they have great rates and great shopping , many bars and cater for a young crowd.
