Day 1
I won't go into much detail but will note this was our first flight on Southwest. I thought it would be a total pain with the whole "A, B, C" wait in line thing, however not bad at all. Had to pay 10 bucks each for early boarding, but no baggage fees and they actually still give you a drink and snacks on the plane. Very nice people. I would absolutely fly with them again.
We had a late flight into Vegas, landed at 9 pm'ish. Grabbed our luggage and over to the bus to Dollar Rental Car. I will NEVER use Dollar again. I got a really great rate for the week rental however, we waited in line for 45 minutes with 4 people in front of us. What a joke. Worst check in service in the world. Figured out what the deal was when we got to the counter - these folks try and up sell you everything on the planet. Unfortunate because we could tell the folks in front of us in line were from outside the US and felt bad because I am sure the Dollar folks sold them all kinds of insurance and "discounted deals" that they did not need. Never again. I'd gladly pay more to use another company. Who wants to waste an hour in Vegas in line for your car.
Once we "finally" got our car - we were off to our destination for the week, Polo Towers. Very nice, really enjoyed it. Had a one bedroom suite, with full kitchen, dining room and living room. Didn't spend much time in the room but really enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely exchange my time share there for another week. Only thing I thought very odd at the Polo Towers was the crazy Three Horse Sculpture thingie they had in the middle of the lobby. It was like a train wreck - couldn't stop looking at it but felt really odd looking at it. It's like Horse Porn or something. Anyone else think it was odd? Not that I brought the kids, but I would have been compelled to cover their eyes walking by. Too funny. Maybe it's just me and Vegas Sugarplum thoughts running through my head lol.
I'm sorry, should have started earlier - got to run for now. More kookie and crazy stuff to come....
