Please help Plan my solo Birthday in June

Hello

Single male (45) will travel to LV from June 21 to June 25, Monday trought Friday. I want to stay at nice Hotel/Casino on the strip, and take advantage of low room rate during the week, I am looking also to laidback at a pool, my budget could go as max of $125/night. Also where do we go out on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesdsay. I also so want to eat in a nice restaurant for my birthday, since I'll be single, a restaurant you can eat at their bar and have nive vib's. All input is much appriciated.

Merci

If I go to Las Vegas by myself I would spend time in the racebook, play a lot of poker, and want to play video poker. So I would base my choice of hotel on those factors. What factors should we base your hotel on?

I would recommend the Mirage for a hotel. Nice location and not too expensive, also it has a good pool area too.

For a place where you can have a decent meal up at the bar and would also be something different for your Birthday I would suggest Red Square at MB. the food there is very good and the atmosphere and service is great as well: www.mandalaybay.com/dining/redsquare.aspx

FYI- you could also check out the Mix Lounge at MB for cocktail, if you go between 5 and 10 I beleive there is no cover charge. Great view up there too.

Happy Birthday and enjoy your trip. :)

During the week, a budget of $125/night will give you options at a lot of "nice" hotels on the strip, except for the very swankiest (like the Wynn).

What activities and amenities are important to you? Central location, biggest or best pool, younger crowd, older crowd, party atmosphere, quiet and restful, fancy dining, or budget options? Take your pick.

I like the Venetian/Palazzo a lot, but I'm not sure if it will fall within your budget on those dates. A lot of people like the Bellagio, MGM Grand, the Mirage, Mandalay Bay . . . there are a lot of options that may be affordable to you. If you want to save some money, Paris or Planet Hollywood are decent places in the central strip that will probably come in below budget.

Somewhat confused by your responses. You say you want laidback pool area, but then you say you want 'nice crowded'. If you want crowded, then Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand and Mirage would be perfect. I would choose MB myself.

With your budget, you may be able to just fit under the Venetian/Palazzo price per night. The Palazzo would be very nice for you, IMO.

Another thing, you say that it is a solo trip, but then later on you ask "where should we go on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday."

Sorry for the questions, but just wondering?

hulk-I believe the OP may not have 'perfect' English since he appears to be from France. 'crowed'=crowd, not crowded, and use of pronouns can be confusing to those folks who do not speak English as their 1st language, I, we, etc. :-}

When you say you want to "go out" on Monday/ Tuesday/ Friday, do you mean you want to go out to the clubs, bars, lounges or you mean dinner? From what I gathered from your original post, it seems like you are asking about a place to eat on those nights? Or did you mean going out dancing/ drinking?

In both cases (and especially this is your birthday trip and I want this to be special for you)- can you provide us some more info? What kind of food do you enjoy? Steak, seafood, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Sushi..? There are many of those restaurants with a bar area, so if you tell us what you like and don't like, you will get better recommendations. If you meant bars/ clubs, let us know what kind of bars/ clubs you are looking for.

$125/ night can get you into nice hotels. Aside from having a great pool with nice crowd, what are you looking for? Do you want a hotel with a casino or without? You said you have been to Mandalay, did the location appeal to you, or do you want to stay mid strip? I also recommend Venetian/ Palazzo. Mirage would be a good option too. Also recommend checking out Ballagio and Caesars for rates, but it all depends on where you want to be.

Bonjour

Just want to clarify I am a French Canadien/billingual (Quebecois), my email was done when I was in France. The question to go out, is club/dancing, and to reconfirm it is a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. I plan on Monday to go see the show Love then go out, and on Thursday go see the show Elvis, then go out. For food preferrence, Steak, Italian,. The we was meat to be I (solo). Would preffer to stay mid-strip. Is PH a good option too ?.

Thank You for your info.

Ph is a pretty nice hotel, but it doesn't have much of a pool. You might want to check out either Casears or MGM. Caesars might be at the top of your budget, but has a nice pool and a great central location.

MGM would be a lot more budget friendly, has various pools, and many dining option in all price ranges.
