afraid to get lost in planet hollywood

For my second trip to vegas I found a nice deal for PH (fountain view). For I´ve heard that it´s quite far from parking deck to check-in I´m afraid to get lost.

But also I don´t know how valet parking works and if it´s the better way. Can anybody help?

Thank you!

You shouldn't need a Sherpa to get from the parking lot to the hotel.

If you valet, have your insurance agent on speed dial.

I doubt you will get lost but I would use valet no matter what, why would you want to park and retrieve your own car?

Valet parking, you pull up to valet, you get a ticket from the valet person, they take your car and you go in the hotel, when you need your car you come back out to valet, hand your ticket to the person in the valet booth and they retrieve you car, You then Tip $2.00 or $3.00 dollars.

When you visit another hotel you do the same as above. Just follow the valet signs.

Mein Gott, you're traveling halfway around the world from Germany to Las Vegas in the United States and you're "afraid to get lost" between the parking structure and the front desk? Yes, you'll walk through the Miracle Mile shopping center, but it's only a mall, not the Twilight Zone! You'll be fine.

For valet parking, follow the signs and have a couple of dollars ready to hand to the parking attendant.

I certainly wouldn't eliminate any hotel simply because I thought I might get lost it in. I am not big on huge hotels, but not because I think I would never find my way around them. Most hotels have signs or you can just ask someone for directions to wherever you want to go.

I do usually valet park, but not always. Some hotels make self-park and getting in and out of them very easy and fast(I try to avoid the strip). Three that come to mind- TI and the Mirage (using Spring Mountain entrance) and the Bellagio. But valet parking is there if you want to use it. Get the ticket from the attendant when dropping it off and hand the ticket to the attendant when you want your car back. When it arrives- tip. Simple.

I would never use valet parking, who wants to wait while some guy runs and gets your car? I doubt you will get lost, it is not a jungle....

Valet parking at Planet Ho lets you out at the check in desk. If you park yourself, you will have to go through the Miracle Mile Mall through casino and down the elevator. I get lost in that mall also. I always turn the wrong direction.

I think this must be a joke. But, if it isn't, yes, use valet parking, absolutely. Give the guy $2-3 when dropping or picking up car.

Valet is very easy, you can even do it drunk, trust me.

Just follow the signs. It will say, valet parking one way and self parking another way. Follow the arrow that point to valet.

You will see a bunch of cars and activity when you get close to the entrance. Just follow the signs. There will most likely be a guy pointing you which lane to get into, if not then just what you think is right, which will be to get close to the entrance.

You will be ab;e to figure out where to stop.

Wiat by your car until the guy comes. He will give you a ticket, and ask your last name. Give him your keys, say thanks and thats it. If you have bags in the trunk then start taking them out before he gets there.

When you want your car back, you will see a desk right outside that looks like its for employees. Give them your ticket and wait for them to bring your car.

Tip them a few bucks when they show up.

Repeat as needed.

I used to think that way. Then, after walking through parking lots and casinos in heels to see shows and go to restaurants, I started using valet parking. During the day I walk all over the place in Vegas, when it's time to go to a show and I'm dressed up, I have no problem letting someone else run out to get the car while I rest my tired feet. It's not my car, there's nothing in it that's going to get stolen, and the valet entrance is usually a lot closer to where I need to be than the self-park entrance. I'm a convert.
