Here's a link to 40% off of The Lion King tickets. You're unlikely to find much better at the discount booths, and you won't waste valuble Vegas time if you buy in advance

For what it's worth I was pretty underwhelmed by the show but I guess I'm in the minority - most people love it. We sat about twelve rows back in the center and those seats were just about perfect.

Viva ELVIS for $50 here. I haven't seen the show myself.

I haven't seen the Elivs show but I did see Lion King in Vegas. It's a very well set up theatre so anywhere you sit will give you a good sight line. The seating is 'stadium seating' style like many movie theatres have so you don't have to worry about the rows in front blocking your view. It all comes down to whether you like an upclose view of every little detail or if you like a more panoramic view where you can take it all in at once.

Best Lion King production I've seen.

Use the code Blagger mentioned above.

We went to see the Lion King a couple of weeks ago. We had the cheapest seats ($64 I think) and they were absolutely fine, we had a good view and could see everything. The show is excellent and we loved it, it does go on for a long time though, about 2 1/2 hours and if you have seen any other big production (we had seen the West End version) it is pretty much exactly the same! For some reason we expected it to be a shorter, more condensed show..dont know why!

Becky, a few years ago it was the norm for Broadway shows to be shortened to 90 minutes or so when they were staged in Vegas. This was down to the marketing men calculating that any longer than that and the all important casino revenues would start to be affected. That's the reason why Phantom in LV is a short version as were the now closed Spamalot, The Producers and a few others. I'm guessing you read this somewhere and were expecting the same for The Lion King.

However a couple of years ago there seemed to be a change of heart and full length versions of shows started to appear. I think that Mamma Mia was the first and currently Jersey Boys can also be seen in its entirety.

Blagger; thanks for the info, we did wonder why Phantom was only 90 mins and the Lion King was the full 2 1/2 hours. Its an excellent show though!

Is there any reason it keeps telling me the code given isn't valid? I'm looking at shows before the June 25 cut off. Maybe I am missing something.

thj, I would call the box office at Mandalay Bay. I'd guess they would honor the code and you'll hopefully also avoid the high Ticketmaster fees.

Thank you Blagger, we already bought Mystere tickets and are deciding on a second show. The Lion King is in the final 3 but we're leaning towards Carrot Top since we need some comedic relief. PS- My picture is an inside joke it's not me, I have to let everyone know that ha.

IMO the mid priced tickets were better than the more expensive as you were further back and could see the full aspect of the show.
