Palazzo or Trump

My husband and I are planning a Vegas vacation for late August, I got a Grazie Club deal for a $75 per night room at Palazzo which I have booked. But, wondering how it compares to Trump which I can get for $79 per night. Which pool is nicer and/or quieter. We are mainly non-gamblers, go for shows, shopping, dinners, etc. I have stayed at Venetian twice before so I am familiar with the area. Just wondering how someone who has been to both Trump and Palazzo would compare them.

Thanks for your advice.

Can't imagine anyone recommending Trump.

Palazzo is one of the best properties in town. Trump is a ghost town.

Trump is still standing simply because of the name...I can't imagine staying there even to "get away" from Vegas-y things...MGM Signature is better for that. Pallazzo trumps Trump in every facet. Go P

Palazzo all the way. (Feel free to read my review as well.) One of the few reasons Trump is still around is because, if I remember correctly, it is trying to go rental/condo, too.

Thanks so much - I will stick with Palazzo. The only reason I was interested in Trump was because I have stayed at the Chicago one and it was fabulous - of course it was even better cause I had a really good room rate :).

I personally loved the Trump. We stayed there for 3 nights during our wedding trip and had 27 other people in our party who also loved it. We will definitely stay there again!

For one thing the Donald would have a difficult time getting a casino license. Secondly, whoever owns it, was counting on the casino that never got built on the New Frontier Property. If its ever built, then the Trump might be a sensible choice. Remember, it was supposed to sell as all condo units.

Truman, your imagination is limited as I would also reccomend Trump. Not everyone gambles and drinks 8 hours a day in Las Vegas.

Trump is only 1/6 of a mile to the strip and has higher quality rooms(furnishing, fittings, ect.) compared to Palazzo,a nice adequate pool area(not a mammoth busy pool).

Palazzo is also very nice so you should like it there but Trump is not a undesirable place to stay unless you need a casino within sleep-walking distance.

Given a choice of the two, the Palazzo wins hands down, a great strip location vs off the strip? What's to decide there? Especially with the price about the same.
