For any of you readers going to Vegas

I learned the hard way that there is no book stores on the Las Vegas Strip. Apparently people do not go to Vegas to read. Wagreens had about 4 books to choose from and they were all garbage.

Last June there was a bookshop in the Fashion Show Mall - I am sure it was a Borders, maybe it has closed down now?

There is a Borders Express in the Fashion Show Mall, and if you really need a full-size book store there is a Borders at Town Square.

There is a Barnes and Noble on Maryland Parkway, not too far off Strip.

I enjoy reading, but don't do too much of it in Las Vegas. I usually hit the store at the airport to make sure I have something in my bag to grab an read if I have time.

The airport will have a decent selection (well as decent as any other airport, I suppose)... but yeah, no bookstores right on the Strip, unless they're in one of the malls. To be honest, in all the years I've been reading TA, I can't remember a single post where someone asked where they could find some books to read, heh. I can imagine it'd be nice for out at the pool though.

I just take two books, one for flight there, one for the return trip. most books can be read in 4 hours. There are free books in hotel rooms, advertising everything, some are passed out by the "Girls Direct to your room guys"

I always bring my own (paperback) from home. I do sometimes read near the pool.

Town Square has a Borders(past Mandalay Bay) and some of the gifts/souvenir shops at the airport have newspapers, magazines and some books.

No time to read in Vegas - I read lots at home though. Anyway, my eyes go funny after playing VP and slots for hours!

Honestly, I do like looking in book stores in the USA - usually for travel or art books that are hard to get back home - and was disappointed with the tiddly Borders in FSM. However, I wouldn't go out of the way to browse a book store :o)

Only things I want to read in Vegas are menus and "CALL ATTENDANT".
