Best Downtown Casino For Comps

I'm going to be in Vegas July 15-18, staying in the Golden Nugget, but up for exploring all of downtown. I'd like to know what casino offers the best comps, I'd love to get a free room the next time I come out. My wife loves play quarter slots for hours and I play mostly table games $5 BJ and Craps.

Also any other must sees or great deals in Downtown would be much appreciated.

The Nugget is lovely, but not generous in the comp department...at all.

Four Queens and Fitz are the 2 I find to be quite generous. We play mostly VP, occasional slots, and husband plays Blackjack and Craps.

We were last there in April; as of now, between the 2 of us, we have 8 nights comped at the Fitz through 9/1 and $150 in FP. At 4Q we have 6 nights comped and $100 in FP.

Have a great trip! We love Fremont Street!

You know you could stay on the strip for less than 30 bucks a night in a half decent hotel. Outside of Main Street and the Golden Nugget, I would not want to stay downtown.

Easiest comped nights downtown have to be the Vegas Club and Plaza. Unfortunately, they aren't places I'd ever want to stay. One night at the Plaza was enough to get me to a nicer hotel.

Four Queens has started sending me comp offers after staying for two nights in April, with moderate play. They have decent, clean rooms, but they are small and have basic bathrooms.

Even though I get frequent offers from the Boyd's Coast properties, I've never gotten any love from their downtown properties, even with the same level of play that gets me comp offers from Gold Coast and Orleans.

The best comps I receive downtown are from Fitzgerald's. I usually get 2 nights free, 2 free show tickets, $10 coupon for food, and $10 slot play. I usually spend most of my time at the Golden Gate. They used to give me offers for 5 free nights, but they haven't done that since they changed the comp system.

We dont gamble enough to be looking for comps but have found Fitzgeralds to be generous-they just gave us a free night a few weeks ago and all we had done was sign up for their card and play a few slots last year-cant ask better than that.

I alternate between the Fitz and 4 Queens. Basically a quarter VP and penny slot player, and I uusually always have offers for 2-3 free nights and some free play.

I keep saying I am going to do some play at MSS, but just haven't done it yet.

Hyper, I'm surprised to see you don't get anything from Boyd's downtown properties. Did you have a Coast card to start with before they became BConnected? I had both and I continue to get both offers in my account, I get more offers from Cal/MSS/ Fremont and I have way more than I could ever use (tourneys, rooms, dining credits and free play).

I agree that Plaza/ VC would be the easiest if the OP wants "any" free rooms. I always have other (and better) options so I don't take their offers, and they seem to get better and better.

El Cortez always sends me many offers too. I used to get many from Binions but since they closed their hotel part (casino is open) I get nothing from them.

Nugget is the most difficult of all to get free room offers. I used to get them but all I get from them now is a discounted room offer and not as often.

That said, please don't chase comps. Play at the place you'd like to play and the amount you're comfortable parting with. Downtown hotel rooms are cheap, and you may as well lose more than the room's worth very easily.

Don't know much about comps but agree with previous poster that golden gate is a great place to gamble!

El Cortez and Boyd's have been good to us...Boyd's properties downtown are;

Main Street Station

They also comp us at Gold Coast and Orleans, but we haven't yet received an offer for Suncoast.

We've never received comps from 4Queens or Golden Nugget although we get reduced rates and special offers from both properties.
