Question for those who have recently returned from Vegas

I was wondering how "cool" the casinos are, especially downtown this time of year. Several years ago I went around this time and had packed shorts/tshirts...froze my butt off. I will be leaving next week and want to be prepared this time. Thanks...............

The temps in the casinos has never been a problem for me, but many people here do complain it is cold.

If you were cold in the casinos a few years ago then you will be cold now, nothing has changed.

Just flew back yesterday, I kept the room temp at 55 in Caesars, it still wasn't cold enough for me :)

it is hot now in Vegas, it is summer time. People walk into a casino to get "COOL" if it is a problem, pack pants, carry a light weight jacket. go to www.vegas.com and check the weather.

Yep, even in the heat of the summer I tie a lightweight "hoodie" around my waist,,even though sometimes an inconvenience, I sure need it many times in the casino. Sometimes you just find yourself at a good machine right where the air is blowing right down on you. It is worth the trouble for me, to have the hoodie! I make sure I take one that zips up instead of a pull over though.

I was frozen the whole time we were inside and even though I know better I was caught without some kind of light jacket a couple of times. The biggest problem is that when it is 108, it's hard to even carry a jacket when walking between casinos and then freezing when you get there.

My husband never gets cold so it must be a girl thing ;-)

I actually have a very lightweight cotton sweater just for Vegas casinos! It is so thin I can just fold it up and fit it in my purse. I'm always cold and the AC makes me uncomfortable. My husband doesn't seem to notice it though...so maybe it's just me.

Me, too, and it goes on, off, on, off....so what? I'm always happy to have it.

I have heard most casinos keep the AC around 65-68...not sure how reliable that is though.

Just got back this past thursday.

i always get chilly in the casinos,

so i say if you were cold the last time you will be anytime you go.

i know i always have to take a light jacket with me so i dont end up having to go back to the room for one.

most people i dont think it phases them or if people are drinking they dont get cold.
