Is the $50 bill really bad luck?

Last time we went to Vegas, it just happened that we took only fifty dollar bills. Previously, we had take $100, $50, and $20 and it seems that our money lasted long. Don't get me wrong, we still lost but only not in record pace. Is it better to take all $5, $10, $1, or what? Just wondering if the $50 bill is jinxed.

I have read about the $50 bill being bad luck and foolishly, we've traveled to Vegas making sure we didn't have nary a $50. Sadly, it didn't seem to make much difference, we still didn't hit "the big one". Maybe I'll try taking nothing but $50's in November, it can't hurt.

I had heard that before too so I googled to try to find a good answer. Didn't really but some bankers say that old folks (more than young) tell them not to give them any 50's as they are bad luck.

Taking 1's would be ok but a little bulking if taking a few thousand lol

$50 Bill Superstition

word type: who knows

A gambler's phobia that dictates $50 bills are bad luck to use or possess.

It's All About the Benjamins

The exact origin of the superstition is unknown, but it would be extremely rare to see a $50 bill (USD) distributed at a casino cage or used by a poker player to buy into a tournament or cash game.

In Britain, this superstition is less useful since 50-pound notes are the largest denomination note in circulation.

Hitch. the $50.00 bill is extremely unlucky. To make sure you aren't jinxed just send me all your 50's and you will have good luck for years. :)

I worked at a race track one summer taking bets and was told there never to give a customer a $50 back because it was bad luck but no one ever explained why that was to me.
