In terms of floor space and general feel of the room Caesars shades it. In terms of view Bellagio without a doubt. Even though some Augustus Tower rooms have views of the fountains they lack the all important music which comes through your TV at Bellagio.

I prefer Bellagio over Caesars in terms of atmosphere, dining options, pool area and table games rules but that's just me. Others will no doubt disagree.

I have not stayed in a Bellagio lake view room, but, I have stayed at Caesars Palace Augustus tower room.

My room was on the 49th floor. Huge room. Floor to ceiling windows directly facing the Bellagio fountains and the strip. Flat screen tv of course. Jacuzzi tub in bathroom as well.

Caesars has a beautiful pool area, many pools to choose from.

I was not a huge fan of the casino, but I did like the sportsbook.

Just wanted to give you a fair description of the room.

Really did not hang out at Caesars bars...but I do love the Fontana bar in the Bellagio.

Good luck with your decision and have a fabulous time!

Thanks for your responses. I've stayed at the Augustus Tower this year (solo) and loved it. Thinking of Bellagio for next year (Solo again, wife just doesn't fancy Vegas) and wanted a comparison so thanks for your replies (think I might go Bellagio as I wasn't too keen on the Caesars Casino, Room and Pool area was fantatsic though)

Bellagio lake-view rooms are awesome. Get one above the 10th floor.

@Blagger

Have you been to CP new pool complex yet? I was wondering if you were comparing the pools at the B & CP currently. I have always thought the pools looked great at the B, but have never stayed there before. I have stayed at CP within the last year, but the new pools were not open yet.

I've never stayed at Caesars so can't comment on the rooms but I like the Bellagio lakeview rooms and would be surprised if you were disappointed by them. They're not the largest in Vegas by any means, but they are beautifully decorated with particularly nice bathrooms. Some people complain about the old CRT televisions, but they don't bother me. The lakeview is great, but as the previous poster pointed out, it's better if you can get a higher floor and a reasonably centrally-located room. It can be a long walk from the elevators to the end of either wing, and obviously the view changes as your room moves out. I don't think you can specify location at time of booking though - it's pot luck, or the $20 trick and a nice smile. Caesars has the Forum shops which are great, but as I can visit those wherever I'm staying, it's not enough to tempt me away from Bellagio. Caesars might arguably have a better pool area, but as they let other HET guests use the pools, that's another reason for me not trying Caesars.

Mia, I haven't been to the new Caesars pools yet so I accept my opinion isn't 100% current. I love the Bellagio pool area and I'd say that along with Four Seasons (totally different I know) it's my favorite in LV.

But apologies for not fully qualifying that opinion... :-)

Blagger,

I value your Vegas opinion. You give great advice & you seem to travel there a bit, so that's why I was wondering if you have checked out CP pools lately. I am heading there in November & will share some pics!! ;-)
