Mirage or Bally's

Had to change my dates due to work . Total rewards offer at Bally's is $200 for 6 days I just received an email offer for Mirage and it is only $32 more plus I guess resort fees. Opinions?

Mirage is in a separate class of hotel. Even with resort fees I'd say Mirage all day long.

No question. Mirage is the superior property in every way. I wouldn't hesitate to make the change.

It all depends. More choices around Bally's within walking distance. More of a party atmosphere, as compared to a country club atmosphere. Resort fee will be approxiamately $90 more at Mirage which is nada compared to anything you will gamble. Mirage has trams to TI, a close walk to CP. Look at a map of each area, food expenses, what crowd do you prefer, and make your decision. Don't go just for the ambiance or room comfort, what fits YOUR personality should be your guide. It is up to you.

Been to Vegas a few times have not spent too much time in either. $90 extra for resort fees is not an issue as I will need internet. Normally we spend a bit more on the hotels this time we are looking to save a few bucks. Now that we switched from Nov to end of Sept swimming will be a pleasant surprise. I'm doing every possible to restrain myself from booking the Wynn hope I will succeed.

If you are getting internet that really cancels out most of the resort fee because you would have to pay for that at Bally's.

The two hotels are in entirely different categories. Mirage is MUCH nicer in every way - much better rooms, much nicer casino (with MUCH better games). For the difference you are talking about this is an absolute no brainer.

Have you checked prices for the end of Sept? Heard there are some bigger conventions in town and that room prices are getting jacked.

This is a lot like asking, "Should I eat at McDonald's or Outback?" cause you're comparing apples to oranges here. If you don't mind spending the money for steak instead of burger, you should definitely consider the steak (Mirage).

You can save on other areas of your vacation. Get discounted show tickets, half price deals on the buffets and restaurants, take advantage of happy hours, look for lower table limits if you plan to gamble, etc. There's quite a bit of free entertainment around Vegas too...

And I forgot...you can save more money on your hotel, flight, etc. if you stay Sunday-Friday or so. Starting and ending a vacation on weekends will raise your rates significantly.

We are staying Sept 26 which is a Sunday and checking out on Sat Oct 2. I Noticed some hotels prices are up Oct 2 and Oct 3 but not all.
