nightlife and mosquitos

i am off to vegas in a few days - but need to pack light - is there mosquitos there or can i leave the sprays and gels at home?

do the nightclubs have a dress code? or is it pretty relaxed?

thanks

Mosquitoes require damp and humid conditions to thrive. The hot and very dry desert is close to the worst possible habitat for them. Leave the repellants at home!

Clubs are the one place in Vegas where dress codes are strictly enforced.

no mossies mate - to dry, but bring the sun tan lotion,

dress smart for nightclubs - Shirt & trousers - you might get away with nice jeans and be prepared to queue and pay for the privilage - girls especially good looking ones get in free

Although some cases of West Nile virus have been found in Vegas in the residential areas, you don't have to worry about that on the strip.

Here are some recent photoss taken at the clubs:

Also, if you get here and need repellant, they do sell it in the stores.

I'm sorry I saw this subject and my 1st thought was "Mosquitos are entitled to a nightlife too."

no mosquitos

dress:

shiny shoes

sportcoat

dress shirt

dark jeans

as for the jaccolotn site, there's A LOT of content to steer you towards waiting in a 2 hour cue or tipping to avoid it. take the bad reviews of great clubs with a grain of salt.

there are PLENTY of places to drink that don't require you to wait like cattle.
