Need Help, First time in Vegas next december

I'm going for my first time to las Vegas from the 7th to 18th of December, i wanted to stay all days at Encore, but i'm thinking on doing a crazy thing.

Because i don't know when i will be able to go back i want to experience the new and old las Vegas then i've been thinking i could go 5 days to the new rooms of Circus Circus, and the other 6 days to Encore, with that i save 800$ that i can use to try different restaurants while i'm in Vegas.

What do you think??? , i need your opinions if it's a crazy idea or not. Thanks in advance.

PD: Sorry for my english , it's a little rusty.

While the savings is tempting, I would try somewhere besides Circus Circus. Maybe do Encore Sun thought Thursday when the rates are less, then pick another place for the weekends. I just don't think you would be happy with the place, renovated rooms or not. Since you will be at Encore also, maybe you want to stay somewhere more central Strip those other days.

There is nothing wrong with staying in multiple hotels on a trip, especially to save money. But NOT Circus Circus. There are plenty of other options that will only be a few dollars more but provide a much better experience.

I vote crazy.

I'm all for changing hotels at least once during an 11 night stay, but why voluntarily sentence yourself to 5 (or even one) night at CC? It's generally regarded as one of the worst hotels on the Strip.

I might spread around the Strip at some of the nicer properties; maybe 3 nights at Mandalay Bay, 4 nights at Bellagio then 4 nights in Encore. I would do Encore last.

i know Circus Circus is old, but i saw in vegaschatter that the renovated rooms aren't bad. By the way i will have car all the days because some restaurants i want to try are a little far away from the Strip, then it's not a problem not being in the middle of the Strip

I choose Circus Circus because if i arrive there and it's a dump, i could always find another room and i just would waste the 150$ that costs CC those 5 days, is that crazy?

You're not going to find alot of Circus Circus fans on here.

I would suggest staying all the time at Encore or mix it up and stay somewhere else in addition to the Encore.

I don't think the concern is that you won't have a car, it's just that the casino is old, rundown and full of kids.

I'm not trying to be judgemental in any way. I hope you have a great time no matter what you decide.

I would suggest one of the HET properties too - they have fantastic rates as well - well maybe not Caesars, but some of the other ones are more reasonable. Good luck!

Yes, it is kind of crazy to stay at CC. As other posters have said- you can choose another hotel (south or central strip) if you want to change hotels- but not CC.

I haven't stayed there, but the public areas are certainly not to my liking. Plus- too many kids running around. Plus- the location alone is enough to make me say NO. It is on the far north part of the strip, away from the things most people associate with Vegas- especially on their first trip.

If want want to see CC- just visit. Once you are there, I am sure you will see that you have made a wise decision not to stay there.

I'd do Encore last as well. If you want to save some money, just stay there about 4 nights and stay somewhere nice but less expensive the rest of your trip. Try TI, Mirage Paris, PH, MGM? That's during rodeo time so options might be limited and prices higher than normal as the rodeo brings a lot of people to town!

I think the Rodeo is over around Dec 12th, starts on the 2nd I believe.

Other less expensive options for saving money would be Harrah's or if you really want to save yet still want decent, IP is fine all but their Capri room, so is Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon.

I would split it two ways: If your in your 20 something or early thirties. I would do this go to NY NY first and then do Encore. This way you will save money, do north and south strip and get to see all. Circus Circus is definitely a no.
