If comped at both, stay at Flamingo. Better than IP, but that really isn't saying much!

I'd pick IP over Flamino on the basis of I like the lil Balconies on the rooms.

From what I've seen the deluxe rooms at both are pretty much the same size and furnishings. Do a search on Youtube and you'll get an idea of how the rooms actually look compared to the web pics.

If it was pool weather then hands down Flamingo would win.

I also like the casino much better at IP as I hate the pink neon and the tropical scent they use at Flamino. But free is free so either works!

Have a good trip!

We stayed at Flamingo but not in a deluxe room...I have a coworker who has stayed there 2 or 3 times in a deluxe room and says they are really out of date but never felt scared or had a gross room.

We just stayed at IP last month, and I would encourage you to read my trip report. Maybe we were lucky, maybe other people on TA post based on what they think rather than they have actually stayed at a property.

At any rate, it is all subjective since we are all different. While neither room type is like a room at the Wynn, Bellagio, or Venetian, it is a room and is comped so appreciate the offer (my opinion).

We would stay again at either property but would probably choose IP since it is next door to Harrah's and Mr. Ducky likes the table games there. If you have further questions, please feel free to send me a message and I'll be glad to help :)

Edit to add...but DO try to avoid staying in a Capri room, and the staff will understand your request and hopefully not put you in that room type.

Since it is a comp! I would pick Flamingo... read my Flamingo reviews, I have at least 4 of them. The rooms are basic, clean no , mold or smells, at least not in our experiences. I have said I believe they have given up. Love the locarion, pool, and all the places to get coffee and snacks, and sit and visit or just sit!.. IP has cheap beer and Hash House A Go Go. It is next to Flamingo

Flamingo has great strip access and I just love sitting by the fountain and eating a bagel in the morning, yes even in January when we go.If you are going in early in November, one pool may be open but the hot tubs are open year round.

Both are low-budget options. Flamingo slightly less so.

While the rooms are most likely going to be the same, the casinos are exact opposites.

IP is loud, they've got Dealertainers if you're playing tables, the limits are generally lower, the food is cheaper, the lighting is dark. Some rooms have balconies. They've got a lot of different types of rooms, so if you ask at check-in, you've got a better chance at a free upgrade based on availability and length of stay. Reports are that the elevators near the front are abysmally slow. Avoid the Capri rooms. No restaurant is what I'd consider "edible" and the pizza place upstairs is a complete ripoff. Relatively large karaoke bar area near the sportsbook with a horrible karaoke sound system.

Flamingo is bright, the casino is quiet, and there isn't much in the way of "food court" style eating. They've got the better pool by far. Only two banks of elevators for a huge place so the wait can be long, especially at check-out times. Strip-view rooms will have a mesh banner over the windows for their outdoor advertisement, which makes taking pictures difficult. Margaritaville is a better restaurant than anything at IP. Buffet is a waste. Steakhouse is expensive and there are better options.
