Just curious, is your title just lacking some words, or is their a different significance? Sorry.

Ok, so this trip was very last minute, and almost didnt happen. I had just went in July with my girlfriends to Vegas, and wasnt planning another trip until early next year....until i got a call from my aunt inviting me to go. She volunteers at the PBR and was wondering would i like to come.....how could i say no....made and changed reservations a million times, then my car broke, had to buy a new one, cancelled my trip, and then 2 days prior to Monday made it work money wise so i could go!!!! Crazy, hectic, but i was going!!

Left out of bismarck, ND Monday night. Arrived way too early, discovered it was the smallest airport imaginable (i mean for being the state capitol it was pathetic) It literally has 4 gates lol. So got my boarding pass, went to the bathroom and totally left my pass in the bathroom stall. Woo-hoo, sweet way to start my vaca! This is why i should never travel alone, i do stupid things like that all the time. Luckily when i went back, it was still there. Crisis averted.

Went outside and smoked as many cigarettes as humanly possible in 20 minutes before going through security. (which took a whoppin 3 minutes to get through) Sat and people watched before boarding the plane. Interesting mix of people. Lots of cowboys and old people. Amused myself by listening to the "grandma's" bitching about the loud "cowboy group" Sheesh, i thought, its Vegas, lighten up!! Plane ride had turbulence the whole way, no biggie to me, but some of the "grandma's" were having issues. Sat by myself (score!) but unfortunately had to listen to the two dickbags in front of me laugh through their noses the whole time at the expense of the frightened grandmas.

Arrived in Vegas about 845pm and joined the cattle line to the taxi's. I tell my taxi driver Ballys please, and then my husband called me before i could tell the guy no tunnel. BAAAHHH he tunneled me. Whatev. $23 bucks. $27 with tip.

Check-in to Ballys was fast and easy, took 5 minutes. 25th floor, North Tower!! I loved my room, it was huge, king size bed, nice view. I was happy. Hmmm what to do, cousin and aunt dont arrive til Tuesday morning. Oh i know!! What i do best of course, GAMBLE!! Played until 5 in the morning, had fun, but i do see why people say Ballys casino is boring, it was good for one night, but i gambled other places the rest of the time. Fell asleep exhausted but happy in my gigantic bed.

Tuesday

Woke up at 8am by a phone call from my cousin. Her plane is delayed!! Sucky. But my aunt had just arrived, was picking up the rental car and coming over. Got up, showered, and went down to the front. By that time i was starving...i hadnt eaten since Burger King on Monday at 5pm!! See what Vegas and gambling does to me. I would be so skinny if i was able to gamble in Vegas 24/7!! Lol, so we cruise down the strip and decide on Jack in the Box. DONT JUDGE ME!! lol Im going on 3 hours of sleep, and no food in a bazillion hours. Plus, i had never eaten at one, so there! And just so you know, my cheeseburger and fries were pure delight. I enjoyed every bite!

Ok, so food in our stomach, im thinking a bit clearer, but also have that crazy panicked feeling of wanting to see EVERYTHING right now!! I get like that every time in Vegas. I have a hard time calming myself down. Im such a freak. Alright, so we go walking, screw the rental car, i want to touch and smell things. Hee, hee. My aunt makes it to Flamingo, then decides to go back and check in to Mandalay Bay and go swimming. I keep walking, all the way down to the Wynn. Hadnt made it there in July, so made it a point to go right there! I want to spin that wheel!! Get a players card, and of course, start gambling again. Made it to about 250 points, and decide to call it quits for now, being that my cousin was probably already there (i had left my cell phone in the room. oops) Got my 2 free buffets for getting past the 150 points, and hiked it back to Ballys.

Called my cousin, she and my aunt were still swimming and would call me later. Not a problem. Decided to explore Paris, had a snack, and bought some stuff for my husband and daughter. Then my cousin arrive, we do our happy dance, and hug, and all that crap. We decide what the hell, i have 2 free buffets at the Wynn, lets go! Now my cousin begins the lecture about walking, you can get blisters, blah, blah, lets take the bus. Ok, fine, we go to buy bus passes and the line for waiting is massive. Ive seen it bad, but this was just unnacceptable. So we walk, we will catch the next one right?? Ha, we go the Venetian...we ask the guy with the bus shirt on how long til another bus?? 15 minutes he tells us. Well, crap, that just wont do. Im far to impatient for that, lets just keep walking. Needless to say, we just ended up walking the whole way to the buffet.

Wynn Buffet

And this is where the quote "I dont what it is" "Just eat it" comes into place. Now i know i live in North Dakota (where theres NOTHING) but i have never felt so un-classy until i stepped into the Wynn Buffet. lol. Honestly, they did have some things on the buffet that i couldnt identify, but i ate it anyway. And it was DELICIOUS! Will so going back there again for sure. I even made the comment to my cousin that i didnt care if we had to go throw-up, we were going to eat those scrumptious looking desserts. Lol. Oh, and our waiters name was Jesus which made our experience all the better.....

We DID take the bus back. The line wasnt so massive this time. I got off so i could watch the fountains, and my cousin went to Mandalay Bay, she was tired. Please girl, i was going on 3 hours of sleep, but to each his own right. I watched the fountains (god bless the usa) and headed to Flamingo for some gambling. Lasted until about 3am, and called it a night. Im so addicted to those Monopoly Advance to Boardwalk. Love those. Uh-oh, my feet were starting to hurt...........

250 points at Wynn to get 2 buffet tickets? Is $1 in give you 1 point. That seems like a great deal.

DiegoMom, you had to reach 150 points to get 2 free buffets. But i wasnt playing for comps, i never do, it was just a side perk of gambling at the Wynn. I enjoyed the casino and ambiance there.

Wednesday

CRAP!!! Woke up two huge honkin blisters on each of my feet. GRRR. My cousins words cursed me!! Ah well, it happens. Checked out of Ballys no prob.

Aunt picked me up and we headed to the Hard Rock, where they were having the PBR Marketplace meet and greet. Ate at Mr Luckys first. Cousin had pancakes, Aunt had the steak/shrimp special, and i had a chiptotle BLT Burger and seasoned fries. Delicious.

Headed out the meet and greet. Kind of lame. Lots of cowboy people (obviously) Not my cup of tea, but enjoyed spending some time with my aunt and cousin, and marveling at how much some of that cowboy crap costs. Walked around Hard Rock, and decided i kind of liked it there. But its so far off the strip, i dont think i would ever bother staying there.

After the meet and greet we headed back to The Hotel so my cousin could take a nap. Geez, that girl likes her sleep. Brought up my suitcase, and then my aunt and i walked around Mandalay Bay since i had never been there before. Eh, its a nice place, but i didnt find anything there overly exciting. Bought some more souvenirs. Went back to the room and got ready for the PBR.

PBR

Ok, i have never been to a rodeo, or anything similar. So i will just say it was an experience, but about halfway thru i was bored. I went out and smoked and talked to my husband for awhile. Im glad my ticket was free (thanks to my aunt) or else i would have really hated it. But now i know. Cowboys are not my thing. The fricken thing didnt end until 9pm!!! (started at 6)

My aunt and cousin had tickets to see "O" at Bellagio, so that was stressful getting there in time for that. Dropped my cousin off at the front to get the tickets while my aunt and i parked, and then walked/ran like hell thru the casino to get my aunt there in time. That felt great on my blisters by the way....but she got there with a whoppin 2 minutes to spare LOL. I gambled while they were at the show. Bellagio is another casino that is good for a couple hours, but then i get bored with there machines. And no Monopoly :( But i ended up coming out even so no complaints here.

After the show i ended up dragging my cousin and aunt around the strip trying to find a souvenir shop that had those cushy flip-flops. Because by now i really was in PAIN. No luck, so we went back to The Hotel and went to bed.

Oh, forgot to write about Hussongs Cantina in Mandalay Bay where we ate before the PBR. We all ordered something different and shared. Food was SO GOOD!! We had the shrimp filled fried avocado salad, steak Chimichanga, steak quesadillas, corn on the cob, and some mushroom rice with cheese thingy. Sorry, i dont remember the "authentic" names for those. All i know is everything was awesome. Would definetly recommend going there!!!

Thursday

So the plan was to get up early. Er...i slept until 1030am!!! What is wrong with me??? Guess i needed the sleep. Aunt and cousin had left me a note to call them when i woke up. Got ready and headed down to the casino. Aunt was at Hard Rock volunteering for PBR, and cousin was down at Bellagio waiting for the fountains but would be coming back soon. Alright, had $10 bucks free slot play so stuck a $20 in a cougar-licious slot game (i loved the name, had to play it!!) and won $500. Sweet!! Went up and explored The Luxor, and the shops in between. Bought a pair of cushy flip-flops. YEEEAAA!!! Those were the only thing that helped me from not having to use a wheelchair.

Mandalay Bay Buffet

The three of us met up, and i treated us all to the buffet. Pretty good, but of course im spoiled now after the Wynn Buffet. Had some really great coconut shrimp though!! And of course i enjoyed sampling all the desserts.

So my aunt and cousin wanted to swim before the PBR that evening. I declined. Like i said, i have a hard time relaxing, i just want to go go go. So i left and headed to the strip via the goldline. Bought a purse and wallet that i fell in love with and a few more souvenirs. Found myself at the Wynn again. Ive decided i really like that place. And they have my favorite slot machine. Aunt and cousin called to see if i was coming to the PBR, and i politely declined. I just couldnt sit through that again!! Made plans to meet up after PBR as my cousin and i had tickets to see Jubilee at 1030pm. I spend the remainder of the afternoon/evening gambling, sightseeing, and shopping. Walked all the way from the Wynn down to Excalibur!! With my feet i have no idea how, but i was just strolling along taking in the sights, gambling/shopping in between. Caught another fountain show as well. Those never get old. When i got to the Excalibur i took the tram to Mandalay Bay and got ready for the Jubilee Show.

Jubilee Show

I dont know how this horrific show is still running. Honestly i thought it was SOOOOOO AWFUL!! It wasnt even fun cheesy vegas, it was just plain bad. I cant even talk about it, im still so traumatized. If we hadnt been stuck in the middle of a row, we so would have left. Boo. Thumbs down. Bleh!!

Got back to The Hotel, and took a bath, i had to soak my poor poor feet. Went to bed, telling myself i would be getting up early to enjoy my last few hours in Vegas before i had to be at the airport at 1pm.

Woke up nice and early. Gambled a bit, and then we all met for breakfast at The Cafe in The Hotel. Huge portions, and fancy place. Fun was had by all!! Went up and packed :( Then we went to the Bonanza store to look at all the tacky stuff, bought some lighters to confiscate back to North Dakota in my checked luggage. Had a little time to kill before having to be at the airport, so we checked out the Mirage. Pretty place, but nothing wow. Probably just because i was leaving though, so nothing was to cheer me up at this point. Went to the airport. Security line was horrendous, but it always is. Flight was uneventful, slept the whole way to Bismarck. Then had to drive 3 hours to get home. My feet are still throbbing in pain, but it was all worth it!!!

Overview:

PBR: Never again.

Mandalay Bay/The Hotel: Very fancy, but didnt like how dark everything is. Its kind of a downer. And mandalay Bay just doesnt have enough stuff there or near it to keep me amused.

Ballys: Surprisingly really liked it there. Loved my room. Would stay there again if i could get the North Tower again. And i enjoy their moving walkway, i like to walk on it, makes me feel like i have super-powers cuz i go so fast. Hee hee.

Jubilee Show: NO!! It was just.....wrong.

Wynn: Loved it. Will so be going back. Hope to stay there sometime. Although i already booked my next vacation with my husband and we are staying at the Flamingo in a GO Room Deluxe with a strip view. I enjoy my HET comps to much to have to pay for a room.....but maybe sometime ill fork out the cash to stay at the Wynn.

All in all, it was a fun trip, despite my freakin blisters. But im looking forward to my trip in February with my husband. Ive taken two trips to Vegas this year with the girls, and i missed my husband more each time i went. I know. Im lame.

Good luck to everyone thats going soon and i hope you have a great time!
