Four Queens or Fitzgeralds for Rodeo

Coming in for the Rodeo in a couple of weeks and waited too late to book a room downtown so choices are limited. Is Fitzgeralds directly on the Freemont Street experince? Will be with people with out a car and they want to hit the Freeemont street events in the evenings so need a hotel directly on Freemont. Stayed at 4 Queens a couple of years ago (interesting..) but just wondered if Fitzgeralds was better?

Looks like I can also throw Golden Gate into the mix. Have looked at reviews, but would still like to hear which one you would choose out of the three.

stayed at both & they really are equal-four queens seems like they charge

more & the fitz gives you a free breakfast-they are right next to each other

on the fremont experience-either one would be a good choice as we

liked them both a lot-downtown is fun & very affordable-

I've stayed at Fitz & seen what a 4Q's room looks like.

A fitz room is older but clean & large & good views are to be had being the tallest hotel DT.

4Q's room is much smaller but was renovated a few years ago & includes a flat screen tv but your less likely to get a view.

I would stay at either and am actually staying 1 night at 4Q's next week.

Personally I wouldn't consider GG because I've read the rooms are super small & would be worried about street noise but that's just me.

Four Queens, Fitgeralds, and a very distant Golden Gate.in that order....I prefer 4Q's, one elevator empties right next to the outside..Only stayed at GG when it was about 15 dollars, very, very small rooms suited for one person, and at the far end of everything, lively casino though...

I would take 4 Q over Fitz because of the renovated rooms. We have stayed at both multiple times and I am just worn out on the Fitz - I love the casino though. They will both be right in the middle of the action, wereas the GG will be farther away from the stages/noise excitement, although that may be a plus...?

4Queens has a much better location compared to Fitz

4Queens is in the middle of FSE and across the street from Binion. Fitz is located on the far eastern section of FSE. Not much there except an empty Neonopolis.

I'm not sure the location of the 4Queens would make a huge difference, 4Q and Fitz are right next door to each other.

We are going to be DT at the end of the Rodeo and are staying at Fitz. I've never stayed at 4Q, although I have considered it, but they are always more expensive (and we get comped at Fitz). The rooms at Fitz are dated, but clean, and the housekeeping is EXCELLENT. I have been shying away from staying at the 4Q because every time I go in the bathroom there it seems filthy, and I have never had that problem at Fitz...

I would say that any of your options would be fine... have a great trip :)

We're not talking miles apart here. They're really pretty similar, except for GG which is "boutique" and typically the rooms are smaller.

I'd go with 4Q's mainly because I like the casino better and don't spend much time in the room anyway. Magnolia's is an inexpensive coffee shop overlooking the casino with good players club specials. Food & service is generally good so the value is strong. The Mai Tais at the casino bar are the best in town.

GG has a small, though lively casino which you might like too but everything is so close you can visit wherever you want without hassle. If you've tried 4Q's already, try something new...

Thanks all-- appreciate the first hand info. Sounds like either one would work. Hate having to make reservations for other people....maybe I'll get a room at both places and they can pick which room they want. Problem solved-lol.

We stayed at 4Q's last December - I was surprised at how large the room was for a Downtown hotel (it was a handicap accessible room, so it may have been bigger than the standard rooms). Room was basic, but clean. Would have no issues staying again.
