Thats's it, I quit, Nash's non-TR

This is just a summary of thoughts, and a few things that I havent reviewed yet. I wont be writing a TR, as we decided we're going to leave whatever happened there between us, and my wife. Suffice it to say, if this trip were the hangover, I was Doug, and my buddy was Stu. Had that movie not already been done, I'd have a viable screenplay...but I digress.

PH - first time staying here, very nice for a free room. Bathroom floor was way too cold though. I love the casino. Music was not anywhere close to too loud. I could hear everyone around me, dealers etc. I also thought the room was layed out well, it didnt seem like any loss of space with the exception of the large entryway.

Cabs - dude from the Airport got all pissy with me when I asked for PH via swenson and asked me to repeat myself, either way, cab fare was only $13.90+tip

Airport - First time going through a full body scanner, was totally no big deal. I still think more people should be going through and it could be based on profiling, not random...but as it was, no biggie. I will say one of the TSA guys was a total dick. He acted like people have been jerks to him all day and I actually feel bad for him. I smiled and said "Well I get to see what all the fuss is about" and he lightened up. These machines have been around for years, all the fancy hype is a bunch of bs if you ask me. Also, where I was supposed to be sitting was a dude pushing 450lbs, it was a full flight and the poor girl next to him was about to suffocate. Either buy two seats or a treadmill fatty.

Pinks - actually ate here twice, some of my favorite Vegas food now. Totally needs to be on everyones cheap eats list. Awesome dogs.

PH buffet - had breakfast here, biscuits were hard, everything else was good. Nice buffet for the $$

PH room service breakfast - was a life saver, it could have been the CC buffet leftovers at the point, it would have tasted like heaven.

Sportsbooks - I actually managed to check out 7 different sports books Paris(I think, memory is fuzzy on if there was one here) but definately Ballys- uncomfortabe seats; Caesars - too huge, bad seating, too much room dedicated to ponies, Bellagio - was just too full to sit down, looked nice though. Monte Carlo - would rather watch a game at the pub, Mandalay Bay - ended up watching the afternoon games here, like it a lot. No drink service to be found though, and lastly Planet Hollywood - my favorite of them all. True, the TVs werent as big, but the chairs were great. Why others books choose hard 8th grade english class desks I dont get. They also had great drink specials. I watched the Cowboys hit my parlay to cover the 4.5pt spread and get the 51pt over, so good times.

Dave Matthewes concert - Didnt make it to the show, long story...not forum appropriate.

Slottarded - no longer, I found that I can play the $1 WOF machines just fine, and actually ended up on them over the trip. I figured since this was my first HET comp in Vegas I'd show them a little slot love. Anywho, it doesnt compare to dice, but sure is a fast way to build up credits.

Thats pretty much it, I'm going to hang around to answer any questions anyone has about the trip, but then I'll be taking a decent hiatus from TA.

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you both have a crap time or was it just you? Hopefully the little lady didn't have it so rough.

The lady stayed home, this was a buddy trip. I got off much easier than he did. I said I wasnt going to tell any stories, but I will say my buddy got robbed for about $1300.

Hold up...in the movie you find $80,000 worth of Bellagio chips in your pocket which you presumably share with your buddy to help him get his tooth fixed. Are you saying you deviated from the plot and fairy tale ending???

Sorry to hear of your buddy's misfortunes. Thanks for the concise and useful review. Enjoy your hiatus...we'll be looking out for you.

No more details on the robbery unfortunately , Vegas didnt suck, it just kicked my a$$, and turned our buddy trip into more of a solo one. Not a lot you can do after being robbed ya know?

VGF - movie = happy ending, real life = "I'm sorry darling"
