A few observations...

Just got back from a long weekend in Vegas and here are some highlights and observations:

None of the porn slappers I encountered could speak English. Rather than blowing them off, I treated the cards as trading cards and asked the porn slappers for specific "girls." Like, "Do you have a Sasha or a Tracey?" None of them could understand what I was asking for. I don't know why, but this amused me very much.

I found more amusement when being approached by timeshare salesmen by saying, "You dropped something," and pointing to the ground before they could get their intro done. I'd be gone by they could turn around.

Reel 'Em In is definitely the most fun I've had losing money in Vegas and I logged many hours playing it. The first day we playing it, a guy on the last machine hit a $2500 handpay while we were playing. Highly recommend playing that game.

Blackjack in the Luxor on Friday afternoon while watching the dancers and getting beads for shaking your rump is a great way to blow a quick $1k and a fun way to spend your day. The pit was even shaking his groove thang!

Dicks Last Resort in the Excalibur was about the most fun I've had in a bar in long time. The live band took requests and they did an awesome job. The bar was packed and we were all dancing and getting everyone around us dancing too.

I found a new massage therapist that gives the best massage at the Canyon Ranch in the Venetian (where we stayed). I've had many massages there, including a few shiatsu (they only have one shiatsu therapist), but my new MT is the best, hands down.

Dinner at Mesa Grill still isn't good. Had it not been for a couple we were meeting there for dinner (who insisted on dinner there)... I would not have done it again. That's my third time at Mesa for dinner and my two friends and I each had something different and none us liked what we had (although all of us love the lunch at Mesa). On the other hand, dinner at Japonais in the Mirage is still very underrated and one of the better places I've eaten in Vegas. Their crispy shrimp and salmon is simply awesome.

The Venetian poker room is the best place to find a game, but they have very good players there as well. I actually received an oviation from the table when I got up to leave after leaving a winner. On the flip side, Caesars was dead on a Saturday night (I think everyone was at the Venetian playing!)

Deuces Wild at the Palms is the best video poker in town. I hit four deuces for $250 right after getting to Vegas. Great way to start off my trip.

All-in-all a great trip. Loads of drunkeness and meeting random people.

Glad to see you had a fun time...gosh Reel 'Em In is an old machine, so was this a bank that are in a community? I do like it too, but it's getting hard around here anymore to find it.

The drunkiness and random people would make for a good time ;)

The Reel 'Em In was a community play machine. This version is the "compete to win!" version. Essentially, when the bonus occurs, all players go into the bonus and one player comes out the big winner... but everyone else still wins something.

We played at the Venetian and at the Palazzo. I didn't look for it anywhere else... but I have to imagine that with that type of community play... it has to be popular.

Yep played that version (maybe at Sam's?), and I like any community games since it's fun to interact with other players!

One more thing to note: I didn't get to the Cosmopolitan! I wanted to but simply got to having too much fun to get over there. I saw it on my way back to the airport and thought... d'oh!

Oh wells.... I'll see it in September when I go back.

TD: Yes... very fun to interact with the other players. My two friends and I all played a different character and would be rooting against each other in the bonus. We'd have quite a crowd gathering around us to see what was happening when the bonus round was occurring. Much more fun when you're playing with a group of friends, but I'm sure there is still fun to be had playing as a single.

Someone in Vegas told me that the porn slappers aren't allowed to talk to people, so maybe they didn't answer you just because they aren't supposed to?

Sad to hear you didn't enjoy Messa Grill, that was on my list to try during our June trip. But lots have good things to say about it so I'll give it a shot still!

Retro, there are community slot games at a few casinos....I've played them at Paris and Caesars too (maybe it was Bellagio) but there are a few.
