Best time to visit?

Never having visited the Las Vegas or the west coast we're unsure of when we should plan a trip. Are there times of year when it's too hot, too cool or rainy that we'd be best to avoid?

Thanks for any advice.

We've been in September and October and that was just right for us, not too warm but warm enough. I seriously could not cope with the heat in summer.

We're off in a few weeks towards middle of March and hope it'll be as warm as September time.

Late March through mid-May and September/October tend to have the most temperate weather; June/July/August tend to be very warm (highs into the 100's); there is not much extreme cold in Vegas - might snow about once a year; but even if you do run into bad weather - all of the casinos are climate controlled and there is plenty to do indoors.

We always go in September now......and even then (usually last two weeks) it is still really hot but nice. The first time we went was at the end of October going into November and although it was quite nice during the day, it did get a little colder at night.

According to weather.com.... I was able to get the forecast up to 10 days out. Not very helpful!

It would be helpful if people who have been to Vegas would tell us typical yearly weather conditions.

We had planned a trip for the last week in sept. but noticed a significant lower price for the last week in august. Is the weather really that big of a difference?

Weather.com allows you to look at the average and record temps for every day of the year, not just the next 10 days. Click on the month tab, then find the month you want.
