Donut Shop

We are staying at the Mirage in April. Is there a good donut shop within walking distance on the strip? I know a lot of the coffee shops have good pastries but i'm talking strictly donuts.

Thanks!

The short answer is "I don't think so", but I'm not a big fan of deep fried dough.

There is (or at least used to be) a KrispyKreme in Excalibur that had the donut making machine - don't know if it's still there however.

I'm pretty sure there's a Dunkin' Donuts downtown.

I have had a quick look on the Krispy Kreme website using there store locator and is says they have stores in Excalibur, Stratosphere Circus Circus and also Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel on Fremont Street.

Heres the link to the store locator if you want to have a look at the map http://www.krispykreme.com/Stores/Locator

I'm not too sure if there are any other doughnut shops though!

When I was there in January and all previous trips, there was a Krispy Kreme just as you get off the tram from the Mirage to TI. In case that wasn't clear, the KK was at TI.

For something a little different, the donuts at Serendipity (in front of Caesars) are, um, large.

Unfortunately, if you want true, good ol' donuts, like from those little independent places, you have to go off the Strip.

If your DT theres a coffee shop in the Golden Gate called Dupars that makes all thier own doughnuts and pastries. They looked so good ( I wish I would have tried one, but I didnt) - much better than nasty ol Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Dunkin' Donuts inside of I believe Binions downtown. I could be wrong on the hotel. Its on the same side as Mermaids and the Cal. Anyways, the shop is shared with a chinese restaurant and the best part: its open 24 hours. Beats Krispy Kreme any day. Awesome coffee too.

In my opinion both Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme are two of the worst donuts around, Dunkin Donuts are worse but they are both poor excuses for donuts.

The Best Donuts in the Valley are on the North East Corner of Flamingo/Maryland. I dont even know the name of the place. But I drive past many other donut shops to go to that one when Im in town

The Treasure Island buffet bakes their own mini donuts. Since its a buffet, its all you can eat donuts. no spectacular varieties but they are good.

My personal opinion of krispy kreme, is they taste like machine made donuts. dont waste your money on them. Dunkin donuts are two steps up but still dont match the corner bakeries.
