Bellagio or Venetian/Palazzo????

I have had the Bellagio booked for $149 for 2 nights. Now I just received an email for Venetian/Palazzo for $129 and $169. Works out to be the same total as the Bellagio.

Which would you choose since all are the same price? This is a 2 night stay after our Marriott Grand Vista (by Planet Hollywood) stay. I know the rooms at the Venetian/Palazzo are suites and therefore larger. But is the Bellagio classier? Is the atmosphere better at the Venetian? What to do???????

V/P - especially if you can book Palazzo. Classier is not how I'd describe the B. To me, it's a tourist trap. Lots of people wandering through.....and rightfully so. It has a lot to see.The standard room is not better than V/P. I would book Palazzo over Venetian. Palazzo is quieter, has a more airy, open casino and if you like crowds, you can go over to the V and get that vibe.

I will only stay at B in a lakeview room.

If you compare just the standard rooms, then no question V/P wins hands down.

I love V/P. I admit I've never spent a night at B, but it's always so busy that it kind of makes me anxious when I'm there. It's a lovely resort though. Palazzo is just more my speed.

we just split our trip between these- bellagio andpalazzo. sorry to say service at belagio sucked. as if theirs didnt stink you know what I men. thankfully we finished (salvaged our vacation) with the palazzo stay. i really believe bellagio has let the beauty of their fountains go to their heads- and nothig else or no one elsemattered

Most folks already know that the B is my 'home' hotel and therefore I'm a bit biased. The front desk people have become a little robotic, however, I book the room I want, so it's not really an issue, and overall I think the service at the hotel is great. I certainly wouldn't go around badmouthing a place because my bribe/ trick wasn't successful (: I have not stayed at V/ P so won't speculate about the rooms, however it's common areas are beautiful.

I do know that some people bark about poor service when the registration desk rep isn't impressed by the flashed 50$ bill of those expecting an upgrade to a room well above what they have booked. Sometimes things do go awry at any hotel, and your room won't be ready--also given the number of folks checking in on any given day they've seen all the bribes before, and may not be able to give you the best room in the house just because you think you should have it.

I do agree though that if you choose to stay at the B. then the Fountain view rooms, while a little worn, will provide the best Bellagio experience for a first time visitor.

Whichever you choose, have a great trip!

So in general, service is better at the Palazzo?

Service really is comparable and also subjective to each guest and their stay. The standard room at Palazzo is bigger and better. And, as stated before, it is a quieter place. I've stayed multiple times at both and if I had to choose one for my last stay, in a standard room, it would be the Palazzo.

We have standard rooms booked at the Bellagio. So basically the standard rooms at the Palazzo or the Venetian will be nicer?

The rooms at the Palazzo do look bigger with the bedroom and living room area. The Venetian rooms I assume are the same?

Does anyone know how the air conditioning is set up? Is it motion control to go off when you leave the room, or does it stay on all the time?
