Advice for Aussies in Vegas

If you can get a good rate on Travelers Cheques they can be redeemed at casinos for no charge.

Restaurant.com has a lot of coupons for Vegas restaurants of varying quality.

Always check for promo/discount codes for hotels before booking them. It is quite easy to save up to 30% on your accommodation this way.

Gosh, what excellent tips. Do they still apply to Russians or Japanese or are they only for special Aussies?

If you're a shopping fanatic like me, and want to take advantage of the currently excellent exchange rate, then you can find discount vouchers for many of the large shopping malls / outlet centres online.

Destination coupons have the best ones and their vouchers give you access to entire coupon books for each of the mall / outlet centre. The way I look at it is that you're going to spend the money anyway, you may as well get a discount! More money to spend elsewhere! :-)

The Aussie$ is currently smashing records against the falling Greenback so it might be worth changing money over now in case the Aussie weakens.

This place gives comparisons over the major players in Aus bestexchangerates.net/calculator…

Remember that if the Aussie strengthens during the day the banks rates aren't always updated so it might be worth holding off until the banks set their rates the next morning.

i tend to avoid travellers cheques these days. nothing more than a hassle. i say go with cash and the prepaid travel cards.

The ANZ travel card was the best thing i ever had.

We leave in a little over 5 weeks.

Got most stuff booked but couldn't get the gunshop website to accept our Credit Card. We will try another one or just turn up and sort it out on the day.

We booked PH at $80/night for the dates 4 to 9 September, using the Follower rate promo code. Originally it cost $90+ per night, due to it being a Labour Day weekend; however upon checking the rates the other day, we saw that the rate had dropped to $80/night! So happy! :)

If you are their Facebook fan and/or Twitter follower & want to stay at PH, go to: https:/…

This offer is valid on selected dates now through November 30, 2011, but they’ve only got so many discounted rooms to go around.

Book now to make sure you get the best possible rates and the dates you really want!

Must Book By: April 30, 2011

Good During These Holidays: Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Labor Day
