20% tip to the host? I don't think so. Unless you are going on a very busy night and there are lots of you, a $50 tip for a host is all you need.

You also need to factor in a tip for your security guy and maybe the bus-boy.

Many places now put a 20% 'Service Charge' on your bill and expect you to tip on top with cash.

Server 20% and I would tip the host $100.

Anyone else is discretionary.

Sounds like about $1300 should cover it.

Well I always tip my host 20%. He makes my reservation, gets me a great cabana or table, walks my guests in and is always checking on us. If your does not do that than tip less.

-Tip waitress at least $100, pending on your level of drunkness and how pleasant she is. If she obnoxious, is never present for you, etc, tip accordingly. If she does her job well, tip more.

-As for the club host, his job is to get the money flowing. When you sign your contract, make sure in writing that the table and seating chairs are yours for the evening and that the 2 bottles you buy cover all required expenses, i.e. you will not have to buy additional bottles.

-If your club host asks you to buy more bottles, show him the contract. If he's a jerk and does not respect the contract, do not tip him at all. But if he's checking on you, brings you some beers on the house, gets you special seating area, tip more.

Wow $1300.00 for a visit to a club!

I just could not imagine it would even be close to being worth it.
