First Night

Hi

I'm looking for restaurant reccomendations in or around Venetian/Palazzo. We arrive approx 8pm after 16+ hours of travelling and would like to have a light meal closeby the hotel (staying at Palazzo) before retiring for the night. Looking for Fine dining as opposed to casual as this is also the first night of our honeymoon

thanks

After 16 plus hour flight and your clock saying it is about 4am, you won't care what it is. Room service is nice. Lots to choose from. And it is nice to relax and dine in your room.

Don't even think about making a reservation anywhere after all that traveling and a big time difference. Fine dining will most likely be totally wasted on you that night.

If you feel up to it grab a casual bite or, as Norge said, room service. Congratulations on your wedding and have a great honeymoon!

Definitely have room service and then go for a great meal the following night - as mentioned above, it will be wasted on you and besides who cares if it's the 1st night of your honeymoon - you can celebrate in other ways in your bedroom!!

Check out CarneVino, it is great and you can sit at the bar an nosh at some good food without making a big production out of it. The dishes are amazing.

I suggest either wait to see how you feel that night. You can either grab the quick bite in the food court next door at Venetian, go to Grande Lux for something better, Dos Caminos if open at the hour is good to me (not fine dining, but yummy Mexican food), and then you could save your great meal for the next day. On the other hand we had room service at Palazzo and it was really really nice. They come and set it up and it is like a nice little restaurant for the two of you in the room.

Thanks for the feedback, room service does seem like a good idea! ;-)
