Need hotel advice for may 18-24

Driving up from san diego to meet friends in vegas. Trip is a combo of Hubby's Bday and our 6 year anniversary. Staying 3-4 nights between May 18-24, dates flexible. We love the pool and suites at Mandalay bay, but want to try one of the new/renovated hotels. Who's offering the best value added package that week? We like the look of the monte carlo pool, can you access the other city center pools if you stay there?

" We like the look of the monte carlo pool"

Why ?

"can you access the other city center pools if you stay there "

No, and Monte is not part of CityCenter.

If your looking for great pools then try the Bellagio, Caesars, Mirage and Wynn.

it looks like the monte carlo has a lazy river and a wave pool. I read the Palms has a coed spa area, are there any other spas that offer coed facilities? It would be great to share a sauna/jacuzzi before a treatment with our friends.

Monte Carlo is the little sister of the Mandalay Bay Pool. Smaller lazy river, smaller wave pool. But it does have a volleyball court. MC is not new or renovated to my knowledge. The Cosmopolitan is the newest resort on the strip.

The Tropicana has the most recent renovations. Rooms, Pool, Casino, etc.

Not sure about coed spas.

There are some newly renovated rooms on the top floor of the Monte Carlo - Club 30-whatever (it, unfortunately, was where the fire was but they ended up upscaling the rooms)...so that might work for you.

MC is not part of CityCenter, but is connected by the tram to Crystals and Bellagio, and no you can't use anyone else's pool (which is fine since you said you liked the looks of the MC pool).

I believe Aria has some coed spa areas.

Where are your friends staying?

Hotel 32 is the name of the rooms at the top of MC. Yes, they are nice, but pricey.

friends and i haven't picked a hotel yet. we're leaning towards mandalay bay because we know it's an awesome place for a first time visitor (her companion is a vegas virgin). i think the prices are steep because of the billboard awards, which are at mgm that sunday. MB is a little far south from everything, too. Are there any center strip properties with room packages that include fitness facility/spa access? We're trying to keep it at $100/nite.

Most places are going to be more expensive because it is partially over a weekend and you are really getting into the area of "last minute booking" so you will pay more.

Check MGM. Nice pool and lower rates. Not the wow of the MB pool but the price will probably be right.
