Las Vegas Monorail - How Reliable?

How realiable is the Las Vegas Monorail? Thinking of maybe seeing KA's 7 PM show at MGM, then quickly head over to the Mirage to see their 9:30 PM Beatle's Love show. Yes, I know it's a lot in one night, but our visit is short, and we'd like to see both shows. I am now concerned with if it's possible to get from one theater to another in about an hour? Not sure if a taxi would be quicker, I guess it depends on the queue for taxi at MGM and traffic on a Saturday night mid-June. Therefore, contemplating if maybe the monorail from MGM to Harrah's might be a quicker option, assuming it's service is reliable? Appreciate any information on getting from theater to theater, thanks!

The monorail is usually very reliable. Unfortunately, it's not often practical. Getting to Love from a monorail station will be a PITA.

If you really want to make it a magical evening, have a limo waiting.

I would suggest with that tight timeline you definitely should go with a taxi. The monorail is pretty good, but I wouldn't risk missing a show by relying on it as you never know if there could always be a delay....plus there is usually a long walk through the casinos to get back to the strip, so you have to factor that in to the equation as well.

Taxis are the fastest and usually best way to go when you need to be somewhere in Vegas by a certain time in my experience. Even if there is a queue the line usually moves pretty quickly.

I agree with ZekeKelso, the monorail is very reliable. You will have to exit at the Flamingo station and then its a long walk to the Mirage. I dont believe 30 minutes is enough time.

I saw the Kaw show at 9:30 during Easter weekend and the taxi line was long and slow after the show ended.

If you have to go to the Mirage after the Ka show you should definitely take a limousine.

If you wait in the taxi line you could be late for Love.

The monorail is reliable. That is about the only good thing I can say about it.

You walk right past the taxi line on the way to the monorail so you can judge for yourself. You will have to hustle either way.

It would probably be quicker to walk across to NYNY and catch a cab there.

If you end up taking the monorail...exit at Harrahs. Its closer to the Mirage than the Flamingo that someone else suggested.
