Planet Hollywood questions

I will be in Vegas in August from Tuesday through Friday. I got comp rooms at the PH for those three nights (hollywood hip room). I have the option to stay at all harrahs properties except for Caesars Palace for free. I have a couple of questions:

1. It seems to be the PH is the best hotel based on size and look of the rooms of the harrahs properties. Would you agree?

2. Is there a good chance I will receive a free upgrade if I do the $20 trick, especially since my stay is during the week.

I had the same type of offer and stayed there 4-20 / 4-24. Yes, would agree that is the best hotel for your offer.

I tried to offer a tip to the check in agent and she told me she could get fired for doing that - but I did ask and got a GREAT view of the strip from the Bellagio fountains all the way to the Mandy. Point is, I THINK it was worth asking. PH is a nice mid range property, not quite what I'm used to but for free it was great. The best part was that is directly across the Strip from Cosmo. Spent lots of time there. Would recommend you do to.

On my stupid IPhone so I will try and clarify. Stay at PH. Spend time at Cosmo. Cosmo is a totally different property than any in Vegas. It is their staff - dealers, pit crew, CW's - that really makes the difference. If you go you'll see what I mean.

I would take the Rio over PH for rooms, pool and party crowd but not for location unless you have a car in which I assume you are not renting.

The rooms are ok... nothing special and a bit frayed.

Location is superb and with the Miracle Mile a great range of shops, bars and eats.

Pool is very very average by Vegas standards.

Atmosphere in the casino is one of the most fun and up-tempo on the Strip.

I think they will give you the best they can. Ask nicely. It's not one of my favorite hotels. I think Paris is nicer and I like staying at Harrahs or Rio better than there. It's OK though. Good location. Have fun.

Thanks. My flight lands at 11pm on a weekday, so I would think there will be some suites that they could hook me up with.

I decided to stay an extra night, so I booked at Paris comped, as PH did not offer comps on that Friday. Vegas never gets old....something about that town that keeps me coming back...

Considering what you are getting for free (comped rooms) don't you think it is beyond presumptuous to expect an additional upgrade for a lousy $20 trick?

If you want the best bang for your comped buck then ask for a suite at Paris with F&B comps at check-out. Hell, go for it and see if you can't get some cross mojulation and get some free play at Bellagio. You should def try the $30 trick for that though.
