Which hotel on or off the strip Is the best for kids?

I am planning on attending my nieces' college graduations in vegas in mid august and I am bringing my one year old son and 6 year old son to Vegas for a week. Which hotels are kid friendly? I don't mind the casinos. We want a nice pool. Being on the strip would be nice but not mandatory. My aunts will be available to babysit the boys so me and my hubby can have some adult time. Thanks!

For families with children that age I recommend Orleans. To my knowledge they have the only kiddies pool in Las Vegas, around 18" deep. Most importantly there will be plenty of other children there, and almost no 20-somethings drinking.

The rooms are fairly spacious, comfortable and reasonably priced. There are a number of family-friendly dining options. And the 6 yr old will love the Kids Tyme play area.

It is off the Strip, but a full service hotel/casino, and there is a free shuttle to the middle of the Strip that runs every 15 minutes.

I second the Orleans. I'd give South Point a look too, even though it'll be a bit further to the Strip than Orleans is.

If staying on the strip is important to you, then try either MGM (wonderful pool complex) or Excalibur (not as nice as the others but kid friendly). Otherwise I'd got to either Southpoint or Orleans.

Try the Signature at MGM. Off strip, but connected to the MGM via covered walkway. All suite, non-smoking hotel. Quiet pools, but you also have access to MGM pool is you prefer. Jr. Suites have kitchenettes with cook top, microwave alll utensils and a small fridge. Also many eating choices, including the rainforest cafe at the MGM which the kids would love, as well as some fast food options on the walk from the Signature to the MGM.

I would also suggest the Orleans. It is very kid friendly, has a nice pool (with a 1 and 6 year old, you don't need a fancy pool or one that is very crowded with a lot of loud/drunk people around and blaring music ) and many reasonable food options. There is also a movie theater . The shuttle makes getting to the strip easy and it is very reliable.
