classy mid strip hotel

Hi All

Been quite a while since I've been to Vegas. What was mid strip is no longer. What's nice classy mid strip hotel? not over run with kids, not gaudy or over run by drunk young kids. Must have great pool area! I used to love Monte Carlo.

Aria or Bellagio, or I would consider staying at mandarin oriental if you want true peace and quiet and also be mid strip.

I have to agree, while Monte Carlo is nice, it is considered one of the lower end hotels compared to what is out there now. The only other pool areas that you will find that compare with Monte Carlo are not on center strip (Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand). The only pool I know of that isn't great on center strip is Planet Hollywood. Those at Aria, Bellagio, Caesar's and Wynn are supposed to be pretty nice, though.

I've stayed at Monte Carlo and Bellagio over the last year.

Bellagio is top notch. Rooms are beautiful. Clientele is definately not the drunken kid type. It's a big, open casino with a lot of options that are not all high dollar. It's my personal favorite. Classy, great restaurants, the fountains are great. It's mid stripish. You can't go wrong.

MC has gone downhill over the years. Some of the rooms are banged up and the walls seem really thin. It's still one of my favorites for sentimental reasons but comparing MC to Bellagio is like comparing fast food to a steak joint.

Bellagio, Paris, Caesars. Paris isn't a great pool, but it isn't bad.

we stayed 4 nights at mirage this past easter and found the location very central. the hotel is great !--it has so many restaurants, including california pizza kitchen which serves great pasta; carnegie deli with super huge sandwiches (not cheap though...$18 for a liver sandwich); starbucks, and many more. their pool is very large with hundreds of loungers. many people here rave about the mirage pool but i didn't care for it. i found the water too cold when we were there in april and i didn't like how all the loungers were packed so closely to one another. the room we stayed in (tower room) was fantastic--all newly renovated, separate shower walk in, large flat screen tv, comfy bed, and very clean.

i especially liked the ambiance and vibe of mirage and how central it is on the strip...not too far to the north or south. in addition, the price was great !

Mid strip and beautiful pool area, not too many screaming kids, great hotel = Bellagio.

Mirage is nice too, but pool area will be teeming with kiddos in summer and loungers are so close together, you feel as if you are squished into a giant tin of sardines. Pool itself is great though.
