Sorry Guys another Hotel question

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls. Last year we stayed in the Four Seasons which was simply superb. However this year we want to move closer to centre strip (i know there will be a debate about whether my hotel choices are centre strip - but there you go). SItes like trip advisor are really helpful but i find myself getting spooked about really negative postings (even if there have been many more postive comments). This year we are considering the following hotels.

Planet Holywood Towers

Cosmipolitan

Mirage

Palazzo

A nice quality of room, seperate shower and nice pools are important to us.

PH Towers looks good in terms of the room for the 1 bedroom King - but its gets slated for appalling service, dirty rooms and noisy occupants.

Mirage - a bit concerned that the hotel largely caters for a more adult guest (only 1 pool available for the kids??)

Pallazzo - a bit sterile

Cosmo - don't know

Any advice on the most suitable residence will be gratefully received.

John

Ps we are staying for 3 nights from the 9th August

I'd go Bellagio lakeview. They have good pools without blasting music.

My choice would be Caesars. Centre strip, good pools, Forum shops, room quality does differ but Palace tower is right at the pool, and is very good.

I wouldn't discount V/P either, undertand your comment "a bit sterile" but lovely resorts with good pools also, and some great offers at the minute.

You've got a great group of hotels there... it'll be a wonderful strip at any of them.

The Palazzo has a wonderful big room and bathrrom. You've got lots of pool spots, including those over at the Venetian. It's right near the Fashion Show Mall.

I'm staying for the first time at Mirage next month, so I do not have first hand experience. However, we do have some friends who visited 2 times a year with their 2 daughters from the time the kids were about 15. They always had a wonderful time, and refused to ever stay anywhere but Mirage.

Our last trip we stayed at Venetian. Loved it! And with a family of 4, I think the extra room would be wonderful!

Guys - thanks for the advice. One further question does the Palazzo get the same orrible smell pumped in as the Venetian - why do they do that???

I guarantee your girls would love Cosmo or PH Towers best--

Cosmo for the hip, bling

PH cuz you have to walk to a mall to get to your tower! (plus they will like the hip decor of PH)

Cosmo's pool better for sure

She did say Mirage pool looks cool; I think she would like the resort, too--and it is closest to Fashion Show Mall

Just confirmed this w/ 13YO DD ;-)

OK...DD just narrowed the field.

She said Cosmo is cool, but what is a teenage girl to do?

She said the PH mall is cool--but sounds like a hassle to get to your room.

She figures the pool would be very important, so Mirage would be best. She liked that it was close to Fashion Show Mall.

Mirage pool will be like a madhouse in August, and they jam the loungers in side by side.
