Halloween in Vegas

I know there's a thread going about Vegas in October....but I was wondering specifically about the last week in October for Halloween stuff, weather, etc....is it worth it?

Weather has been nice the last couple years, though a little cool for swimming, IMHO. As far as "worth it" - you'll have to be a little more specific about what you're looking for.

I guess mostly weatherwise, but I've been there when it's cooler and that's been okay as I don't spend much time at the pools anyway. I'm a big Halloween fan and I was wondering if the hotels decorate accordingly, and if there are any Halloween activities happening.

Thanks!

The hotels don't do a lot of Halloween stuff in their lobbies and public areas, but the clubs get pretty wild, and there are fright houses and other fun stuff. Last year, NYNY had a big fun house with live actors, that was pretty good.

My wife noticed that a lot of the women seemed to be dressing up as prostitutes during a trip one Halloween.

ZekeKelso, I don't think that's just limited to Halloween!

Here is what is listed so far:

lasvegas-how-to.com/halloween-in-las-vegas.p…

This will give you an idea of what took place last year. Both sites will list this year's events closer to Halloween.

reviewjournal.com/entertainment/…

This is one of the big ones:

Some Halloween pictures:

Weather- average high- low/mid 70s, with a range from the 50s to the 80s. If it is cloudy/windy, it will feel cooler than the temps would indicate. Average low- 50, with a range from the 20s to the 60s. Since no two years are ever alike, there is no way of predicting what it will be like this year.

There were some dressed up downtown a few years ago. "Haunted house" in I think Binions along with some other stuff. We weren't there on the 31st. Left the day before but still saw some dressed up and that was before all the crazy people that dress up there now for tips and pics.

The slot forum is doing the drink in every casino crawl again. Might want to join them? It was fun to read GoldenGreeke's TR from the last one they did.

Oh and I think there was a TR that showed lots of people dressed up in front and around the Flamingo last Halloween. Like a party in the street.

Hey, if you want to dress up that evening I doubt if anyone would bat an eye!

Have a great time!!!

We will be there on Halloween again this year. Where is this slot forum that does the drink crawl you are talking about vegasgrannie? That sounds interesting to me.

Just google "slot machine forum". Not sure where you look to see where to meet up or whatever but I am guessing you can PM GoldenGreeke who posts here also to see.
