The Elton show at the Caesars is very good...the sound is excellent. I have seen Elton many times over the years (first show in 1974)...and the Caesars show is not quite as good as a "normal" concert. It is not as long and he doesn't dig quite as deep into his extensive catalog as he does on tour. BUT, the production is more impressive at the Caesars show (lighting, etc.) and both times I have seen it I walked away quite satisfied.

I would recommend a closer seat if at all possible...it is a fairly large theater by Las Vegas standards...if you are far back, you end up just watching it on the high definition screens rather than at the classic artist himself. Bottom line, get as close as your budget allows.

I saw him a couple of trips back and didn't have spectacular seats by any means and REALLY enjoyed the show. The production is a big one and, although it would be best to be as close as possible, I thought it was well worth it to see the show. He is a great performer!!

dubbabe, you won't see the same show you'd see when Elton tours. The show at Caesars is created specifically for Vegas and as it's a new production, nobody knows yet just what songs it will feature. And don't expect the full 2 1/2 hour show you'd find elsewhere - it will be around 90 minutes.

blagger is correct...from my understanding the new Elton show (The Million Dollar Piano) is a new production...I have seen his previous production at Caesers a couple of times, I think it was called The Red Piano or something of the sort.

Regardless, generally, top acts/headliners, in LV do not play their normal/full 2 to 2-1/2 hour show...they play approx. 90 minutes. Though Santana at the Hard Rock was a nice and notable exception...he played almost 2-1/2 hours the time I saw his show there.

It really doesn't matter...no doubt his show will satisfy and be full of his biggest hits including Rocket Man, Candle In The Wind, Your Song and so forth. He simply will not dig quite as deep into his huge catalog as he does on tour. Definitely go

My wife & I are going to see him when we're in town this Oct (she's seen him, I haven't, so I'm more excited).

Here's a list of the songs he did the last time he was in Vegas for the "Red Piano" dates (according to setlist.fm):

1.Bennie and the Jets

2.Philadelphia Freedom

3.Believe

4.Daniel

5.Rocket Man

6.I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues

7.Tiny Dancer

8.Someone Saved My Life Tonight

9.Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

10.Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me

11.Candle in the Wind

12.Pinball Wizard (The Who cover)

13.The B*tch Is Back

14.I'm Still Standing

15.Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)

Encore:

16Funeral For A Friend

17.Your Song

As others have said, this is a new production, so that will probably not be the same setlist, but you can be guaranteed that he'll be playing most of his biggest hits.
