Been there once. It is no where near the Strip or downtown so a car is a must. It's an educational place situated on the area where there was / is a water source used in the pioneer days / local Indians back in the day. Walking trails, live exhibits, conservation stuff in general. Good for kids mostly but would probably not make a special trip there if on a limited time vacation. Has a Wolfgang Puck Cafe there for lunch. Don't know about the free Monday admission but local adult admission is $8- 9.95 or so but tourists get hit for around $19.00...ouch!

Some holidays they do a free day. Maybe it will be for labor day. Not sure. It was just announced that wolfgang puck and his team will not be running the restaurant anymore.

I think a limitted part of the Preserves is open without a admission fee (not Mondays, but every day), but it is only a small part, and not worth it. If you go out there (as VegasAllen pointed out, it is a trek to get there), pay the $20 and see the whole thing.

Hi there, Winner2211: Admission to the Springs Preserve's galleries and exhibits is not free every Monday, but it will be free on Labor Day (Sept. 5) thanks to Target.
