TR- Twin Sister's Bachlorette Par-tay!

My twin sister (Vanessa) and I went to Vegas August 25-29th for her Bachlorette party! It was just the two of us-quality over quantity! We had a blast and I will post my trip report!

Day 1 – Flight, TUNNELED, TI Check In, Palms

Left Sioux Falls about 9 at night, with the time change got into LV at about 9:30. It was still hot as hell when we got there and that cab line was aweful! Standing out in the heat with all those cars around-yuck!

Our cabbie told us all about construction going on and what not…we tolerated him. All of a sudden we took a different turn out of airport we have never taken (been to Vegas over 20 times!). All of a sudden I look at Vanessa and said “we’re tunneled!”. I was almost positive we were, but didn’t say anything just incase for some reason I was wrong and just out of it after the long flight. NOPE….arrived at Treasure Island and a $28 cab ride! No tip for that robber!

Got checked in at TI, got to pay the awesome resort fee, and headed up to our room. Nice rooms, clean and comfy beds. No complaints!

We then got all dolled up and head to the Palms. On our taxi ride there I asked the cabbie what he thinks the cost is for a ride form the airport to TI…he said about $16, which was our guess. We told him about the $28 cab ride and screamed “WHAT!!! $28??!!! “ and then gave us tips on what to tell the cabbie, saying we’re locals so don’t tunnel us, ect. It was humorous how upset he was for us!

Got to the Palms and went to the Playboy Club and Moon. Liked the music better at Playboy, the music at Palms was a lot of house. Only had a couple drinks as we worked all day then traveled. We had to get some beauty sleep to hit shopping the next day!!

Thanks for the TR. Too bad about the tunnel and hopefully that did not put a damper on the trip. Looking forward to the rest as I am living vicariously through these reports until I go in October.

Day 2 Premium Outlets North, Grand Lux, Minus5, Mix, Vanity, Strip Clubs :S

After a great night sleep we were ready to get some shopping done! We had been to the South Outlet Mall and thought it was the biggest waste of time, but I heard good things about the North Outlets and went up there. WAY better! Got TONS of good deals. Coach had an additional 30% off your entire purchase. I got a $300 purse for a little over $100. Got some other great deals at Bare Essecentials, Nine West, and Fossil.

After shopping, we went to get lunch at Grand Lux, so good! Then we went to the Palazzo and had a glass of champagne at Laguna. Fun bar, great staff. After a good afternoon cocktail we were ready for a nap.

I planned surprises for my twin sister every night for her big weekend. This night we went to the Minus5 Ice Bar. So much fun!! Glad we did it! The staff there made it tons of fun too. We danced with the penguin (he then asked for my number!), did “tittie shots” out of the ice sculpture of breasts (Patron of course!) and met some cool people.

We then headed up to Mix for appetizers and drinks. Great food!!! Great view! It was a fun place to start off the night! Loved Mix!!

Next we headed to Vanity. Our club promoter got us open champagne bar for an hour and a half. We made GREAT use of that! De La Sol performed so that was cool to see. Met some cool people there too.

We then had the great idea to head to Olympic Gardens. WOW can we say TERRIFYING?! I have seen the Thunder From Down Under about 4 or 5 times…so I was expecting cute guys to be dancing to popular songs and stripping a little. I saw a lot here I don’t need to talk about! My sister also bought me a lap dance that lasted about 3 minutes because I as HORRIFIED! We’re pretty easy going people, but things happened there I never will speak of….and lets hope my boyfriend never finds out :)

We got the hell out of there and met some people at Sapphires which was a good after bar place.

After leaving there we got some drunk eats at TI where I then got the hiccups really bad, I was a class act. Went to bed at 5 am!!

Day 3 – TI Pool Time, Bachlorette Party Package at Encore

We recovered by the pool this day. It was much needed! We of course said we weren’t going to drink during the day because of the night before…that lasted about 20 minutes. Got some beers and had some fun! Good DJ there and people were having a blast.

We ate at Kahunaville that day for lunch since it was right by the pool. Good food, and we had a buy one get one half off lunch so that was nice.

That night the surprise for Vanessa was the “Still Single Bachlorette Party Package” from the Encore. For $100 each we got supper at Soceity Café, open champagne bar at Blush, admission to Surrender, admission to Encore Beach Club the next day, and an escort between supper and clubs for the night. Plus we got some cute folding slippers that we used later at the clubs-our feet hurt!

Society Café was good, we got 3 appetizers, each got a filet with crab oscar, each a specaility drink, and 2 desserts. The crème brulee cheesecake was AWESOME!!

After supper we had our “VIP Escort” (oh we are SO important lol!!) bring us to Blush. He was a sweet guy and pointed out people to avoid, like idiots on the rented scooters he said! He then informed us of the open champagne bar and that they want us to take FULL advantage of it….no problem! Don’t have to tell us that twice!

After enough champagne, he brought us to Surrender. This club was so cool. The DJ that night was Mighty Mi and he was unbelievable. Surrender was packed-but it was a Saturday night so what do you expect?! We could hardly moved and were having fun, but left around 2 or so because it was so busy and we drank way too much the night before :)

Day 4- Walked the Strip, Lost Debit Card, Serendipity, The Cellar @ Rio, VooDoo Lounge, and XS

We were going to hit the pool or use our free passes to Encore Beach Club but decided we didn’t see as much of the strip as we wanted to. We went down to the M &M and Coca Cola Store (tradition!) then walked up to Planet Hollywood and ate at PF Chang’s for lunch. After lunch we wanted some dessert so went to Serendipity for a frozen Hot Chocolate. It was so good! Yummy! And also nice and cold for the hot day!!

We were getting ready to go out that night and I swung by an ATM to get some money. And oh no….where is my debit card?!?! Last time I saw it was at PF Chang’s. So my twin sister took the reins and called them and there it was! Whew! Thank god. All I kept saying was my dad is going to kill me….My family owns a small bank and if there are any unauthorized charges the bank always covers them. I could only imagine my dad having to pay thousands of dollars to las vegas casinos because his idiot loan officer daughter lost her card! Crisis averted…went to Planet Hollywood and got my card!

The surprise for tonight for Vanessa was going to be going zip lining downtown…but that was “all the way” downtown and we wanted to go out for a nice meal after that. we knew we probably shouldn’t wear our club dresses zip lining so we skipped that and did a little wine flight at The Cellar at the Rio. We are winos so we were pretty excited about this. Got there and it was DEAD. And not to be mean, but an old washed up cocktail waitress was working the bar and I think she knew more about Busch Light than fine wine. We sat at a table and she wouldn’t even come out from behind the bar to take our order. Oh well we made the best of it!

We wanted to go back to Mix but we were already at the Rio so we decided to check out the VooDoo Lounge. We have been there for drinks before but never had food. I was pretty disappointed. We ordered an appetizer sampler and it was all deep fried, and really deep fried at that! Definitely not worth the money but oh well, just won’t head back there!

Went to XS and it was Sunday Night Swim. I vaguely remember hearing this…but didn’t bring my suit. Kind of wish I would have…it was unlike NOTHING I have ever seen! Just so over the top. People partying in the pool, swimming in the pool, hanging out on gigantic inflatable swans, just tons of fun to watch. There was a shallow end of the pool we put our feet in and danced there. It was packed there too. It was our last night in Vegas so we went all out. We closed it down and they had us leave about 4:45!

And for our final drunk meal in vegas we had to hit up the PEPPERMILL!! Great late night memories (or what we can remember!) there! We ate way too much then got a cab back to TI. The sun was coming up and we were in bed at 6 AM.

We woke up about 11 because our flight left about 2. Thank god no one had a major hang over! That is a successful trip then!

Our cabbie to the airport was super annoying and hit on us the whole way there. We looked like crap and were so hung over. We wanted to pay him an extra $20 to shut the hell up!

Summary of the trip: AMAZING! Loved Mix, Minus5, XS is always my fav, but the best part-spending an awesome weekend with my twin sister! We made so many great memories and just laughed the whole weekend!

Val - awesome trip report. You can be my "sister" next time I decide to walk down the isle LOL...

I agree with you on the Playboy Club - I absolutely loved that place and thought they had THE best DJ's and music.

Glad you all had a great time!

Sounds like you both had a great time! Love that you planned something special for her each night. My bachelorette was just my little sister and I in Vegas too-----loved it!!!!
