M Resort

Hi all,

I have read in forum posts "M resort" which seems to compare favourably to others but what or where is it? I'm travelling in Feb 2012 - Mum, Dad & 2 active kids (7&10). I currently have MGM Grand booked but thinking of changing to Ceasars or Bellagio for the more central location. Also, any ideas for a show? I'm thinking Lion King. Buffet : trying to find a good family atmosphere but with excellent food, thinking Wynn;s? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

The M reasort is south of the strip, not central at all. It has an awesome buffet though. Their rooms look really nice, but I dont think Id do more than a night or two there, I would want to be closer to other casinos.

The M resort is rather isolated at the far south part of Las Vegas Blvd. I wouldn't stay there without a car. It is defnitely not centrally located.

I believe Lion King is closing at the end of this year. Mystere ( a Cirque show) would be good choice for children. Mac King (afternoon show) is family friendly.

Wynn and Bellagio have very good buffets.

Thanks for replies. Agreed, going to stay on strip. If not I would definately stay at Red Rock as it looks beautiful but not convenient. Mystere looks suitable and wynn's for lunch seems to be a good option.

If you are with Kids, I would not switch Hotels for Location when you are going to be at MGM. MGM is on a Corner that is shared by four (4) hotel/Casinos ( MGM, NY-NY) TROP and EX-CALIBUR ( which has internal walkways as well as a Tram to LUXOR and MANDALAY BAY). If the entire group is able to walk

Ok so will probably stay at MGM. I originally wanted to stay at an "iconic" Vegas hotel and this seems affordable and has monorail for easier travel with kids. Facilities seem to be a good quality on website as I want better than Excalibar or Imp. Palace standard. Does anyone have any comments about Red Rock, it looks beautiful in the desert landscape and has a shuttle to the strip?

Red Rock is as far, if not farther, from the Strip than the M. Not good for kids r anyone who wants to spend time on the Strip.
