Best hotel/casinos to wander

This December will be my 4th trip to Vegas. Believe it or not, the only hotel/casinos I have been in and wandered around are the Bellagio, MB, MC, MGM, PH, and Caesars. I have been to a lot shows, but in general I just go to the show and then leave. I always have a itinerary planned, and never leave a lot of time to just wander. I am not doing an itinerary this time :)

What hotels have cool areas to see and wander around, other than the conservatory at Bellagio? Thanks in advance.

4th trip? You've got a lot of catching up to do.

Go into all of them.

Venetian. Mark Square and the shops is 2nd only to Bellagio as a tourist attraction. You should also go see Cosmopolitan, as the publics areas have some unique features.

Another vote for Venetian/Palazzo. In December, they are going to have some sort of ice skating rink if you are into that. The Wynn/Encore will also be nicely decorated for Christmas and have some lovely lounges and public areas. The Cosmopolitan is gorgeous. It has a very different vibe than the others in my opinion. The Chandelier Bar there is fantastic. If you partake in adult beverages, get a Campfire drink. Tastes like a smore! Yummy. I don't particularily care for City Center, but you could go and decide for yourself:)

Thanks, guys! Will check out Venetian for sure!

Wandered into Cosmo last year but left pretty quickly. I felt like unless you are a woman wearing a shirt as a dress, or a dude with a polo shirt with the collar popped you were the odd man out. Maybe this has changed-I did want to try that pizza everyone talks about!

I agree that all the casinos should be checked out as they all have their attributes. My dw and I have been to Caesar's numerous times just walking around and each time we see something new.

Mirage for example has the great aquarium behind the front desk, there is the garden area at the Flamingo, the Cosmo has unique art on all floors along with the hidden pizza place.

Part of the fun for us is just walking around and see where it will lead. On our last trip we took the escalator by the cashier at Harrah's to the top floor to see what was there and got to listen in to a meeting they were having about the new construction at the IP. We didnt really learn anything but did get to see a couple pictures of the new design. so you never know what you will see by just walking around.

Do go back to the Cosmopoitan. If you left quickly, then you missed everything. Don't worry about "fitting in." Everyone fits in-don't feel intimidated. Perhaps you can avoid going on Friday and Saturday. I am far, far from the women you described and I love the Cosmo. Explore all three floors of one tower and the second floor of the other tower. Walk down any hallway, turn any corner and you will find something interesting to look at/do: 9' stiletto heels, foosball, hidden pizza joint, pillars in lobby that are constantly changing, huge dog status, pool table, art studio, telescopes, hidden stack of 45s, pillars that you touch to get flight info for that day's arrivals/departures at McCarran, antique telephones, photos, mini-art vending machines, paintings, sculptures, etc.

Then go to the parking garage. Each floor of the garage has its walls painted by a different, well known graffiti artist.

There is also the Chandelier Bar that spans three floors- each with a different drink menu.

Have a bargain lunch ($20.11) at the upscale, expensive (for dinner) and elegant (but casual for lunch) restaurant, Milos. Or have dinner at the loud, but fun Jaleo.

It is unique/fun/starkly/loud.

If you have a car, Red Rock is pretty awesome and has a lot to see. South Point is massive and has lots to do, although is not as flashy as strip props.

I also wouldn't discount the lesser locals casinos. It doesn't hurt to see what the "other end of the spectrum" looks like..

I personally found that Terrible's, Arizona Charlie's, and many of the Station casinos have a unique charm and MUCH more friendly prices if you intend to buy anything.
