Secret Deals....

Hey guys

Wanted to start a thread on "secret deals" you have come across in Vegas!

Iv heard of a few from the $7.77 steak & shrimp to the $1 margaritas but thought it might be helpful for myself and obviously others to read a list of these!

Some may be on the menu and some not just looking for experiences you have had that got you a bargain or 2!

Thanks :-)

Milos lunch at the Cosmopolitan. You can eat a three course meal at an upscale, expensive (at dinner) and elegant restaurant (casual for lunch) for only $20.11. The food was fabulous (I ate there more than once) and you can ask to be seated on its lovely enclosed patio (some tables overlook the strip/CCenter). I would suggest the meze platter, lavraki and yogurt martini. They now serve lunch every day. They have changed the menu a bit-check the website- but here are two reviews with photos:

Another review by a well known Vegas food critic:

If you are willing to take the free shuttle to the Gold Coast- the lunch special at Noodle Exchange (until 4 PM) is very good. You get soup, spring roll, fried (or white) rice and an entree for $7.

If you have a car- there are two very nice cooking school restaurants that serve great/gourmet food for a bargain price. Opus does not change its menu weekly anymore, but it is still very, very charming and worth a visit:

$7.77: Gambler's Special: Steak, three grilled shrimp, a choice of potato or broccoli and a salad. At Mr. Lucky's 24/7 in the Hard Rock Hotel. It's not on the menu -- you'll have to ask your server -- and is available around the clock

Golden Gate (Fremont St) has an unadvertised prime rib, potato, and salad for about $8. I think there are several similar deals like this downtown. I always ask the server if there are any specials that aren't on the menu.

The diner in Golden Gate (Dupars) does not have the late night steak special anymore - I asked, they said no. It was the special when it was the Bay City Diner. Many lists still have this special, but its gone.
