Need help with Bellagio suites

Would appreciate help with this question - We are heading to Vegas at end of January for husband's birthday. I am looking at splurging on a suite at the Bellagio - either the Cypress Suite or the Penthouse Suite. Cypress Suite would have full-on direct view of the lake and fountains, which is nice. Penthouse Suite would have partial view of lake, and full view of the Strip. However, the Penthouse Suite comes with limo service to/from airport, access to the executive lounge, and more space. It is not in the main Bellagio Tower, however, I was told. Rates are fairly similar so that is not an issue. Just wondering if, you had a choice, which one you would suggest?

FWIW, I currently have reservations at the Mandarin Oriental, but wanted to try the Bellagio so we get that Vegas experience. We've been to Vegas before, so are not first-timers, and like staying at the MO, but since this trip is for hubby and he likes to gamble, thought that Bellagio may be better so he has easier access to the casino flooor at nights. Also, Wynn is out of the question; we prefer to be more central on the Strip and would like to stay at Bellagio, just this once, for the experience. We can always return to the MO on our next trip..

Thanks!

I haven't stayed in either but have had full lake view room. It was lovely, but with the extras you mentioned for the penthouse suite I would take that over full lake view. Just my opinion.

I always liked the main tower better and have stayed in both ,the penthouse suite is great but so is the cypress and the view from that suite is unbelievable .

I would pick the cypress for sure.

Cypress. But get as high a floor as you can as they are only the first 10 or 12? floors. Great views and great bathrooms.

We stayed in a cypress suite fantastic view of the fountains as they are located in the centre of the hotel. We would recommend the cypress suite.

We had a Cypress suite for our honeymoon a couple of years ago, the view was amazing, two fab bathrooms as well. Go for it!

I've stayed in both and love both.

The Cypress Suite should also come with limo service to and from the airport as well as access to the Executive Lounge.

CYPRESS SUITE

There are 13 Cypress suites on the property. It is a beautiful room and because it's in the middle of the floor when you get off the elevators it's like having your own private hallway because there's only one door it leads to - the Cypress Suite. The Cypress Suites are in the main tower. The main tower is accessed through the casino. It is close to Palio and Gelato Cafe (for morning coffee and pateries).

When you walk in the Cypress Suite you are immediately in the living room. It's very spacious with a large flat screen, sofa and chairs, a dining table to one side and a counter/honor bar on the other. The t.v. is mounted on a partial wall which on the other side of the wall serves as the headboard for the king bed that is positioned in the middle of an arch of full length windows with absolutely terrific views of the fountains and the strip. There is a t.v. that rises from the furniture placed at the foot of the bed so you can have t.v. or not. :) There is also a desk off to one side and a chaise on the other.

There are his and hers bathrooms to the right and left of the living room/bedroom. His bathroom is very spacious with a steam shower (love the steam shower) and a chest of drawers and a closet. Her bathroom is equally as spacious with a jetted tub and separate vanity from the sink. The hers closet has the safe. Both bathrooms have televisions.

PENTHOUSE SUITE

The Penthouse Suite you describe is in the Spa Tower. The Spa Tower is a longer walk from the lobby. It does not go through the casino. The Spa Tower is closer to Jean Phillipe and the tram station to Crystals/Vdara/Aria/Monte Carlo.

The Penthouse Suite has a beautiful foyer and half bath and a full living room/dining room area. There is also a small bar area off the foyer. The bedroom is separated by a real door and the his and hers bathrooms are off the bedroom. His bathroom has the shower, hers has the tub, both have televisions, but the drawer space is in the bedroom.

The view is "partial" however you'll be able to see 97% if not all of the fountains. It's just at an angle. Looking down from the spa tower is the parking garage. Looking out from the spa tower is the strip and the fountains.

For me, the Cypress Suite is my preference over the Penthouse Suite. The position of the room cannot be beat in terms of the view of the strip and fountains. The Penthouse has a view of the strip but it is further away than the view from the main tower. The bar area and large dining table is nice but I don't need them when I visit (there's plenty of other places to plop my stuff in the Cypress Suite.) :)

Double check on the limo and executive lounge if your reservation agent did not tell you it was included. I have a Cypress reserved for my visit in March and I have the limo and lounge set up for me.

The post is terribly long-winded, but I love Bellagio and hope the information is helpful. Happy birthday to your husband. :)

It's cool the way they number the Cypress rooms. #1, #2 #3..etc. Eighth floor is 8008 if memory serves.

I don't think that anything in the first ten floors is considered Lakeview. We were on the 28th floor a couple of weeks ago and it looked like the entry to a Cypress Suite when we got out of the elevator.

The Cypress suites are on floors 4-16. Above 16 are the Grand Lakeview suites.
