Vdara or Cosmo?

Flights for 2nd Vegas trip now booked (June '12)

Now just need to sort hotel. Stayed at the bellagio last Summer which was lovely but am going for something different this year.

Interested in hearing opinions on the 2 mentioned above. Can get a suite at Vdara for little more than a basic room in Cosmo. They're not a million miles away from each other so location isn't really a big factor.

Will be looking to chill by pool for a couple of the days so am interested in this (Bellagio pools were amazing so a bit spoilt there!)

Vdara's pool is nothing special. Cosmo has two pools, the westside tower pool is larger but the eastside tower pool has a funkier vibe.

The City Room at Cosmo is fine but there's nothing there to really recommend it over Vdara. But the Terrace rooms and particularly the Terrace rooms with a Bellagio view are something pretty special.

The Vdara is more like a Condo-hotel. You will enter to a lobby where there is no casinos, no cigarettes... It's not your typical Vegas hotel.

And Cosmo location is better.

If you need space and a "relaxing" place, then Vdrara is your option

But if you are here for gambling, have fun... Cosmo is your option

Cosmo has sort of a young, funky, hipster vibe about it. Vdara is more sedate. I stayed at Cosmo in November and loved it. I haven't stayed at Vdara but have been in the rooms. As mentioned, they're more of a condo type feel. The terrace rooms at Cosmo were awesome - it's my new favorite hotel in Vegas.

Cheers Lawgirl,

Not sure sure I can class myself as a young funky hipster anymore but loved the Cosmo when I walked around it last year so have just booked a Studio Terrace.

Flights and hotel now booked, just got to get through 5 months of painful waiting!!

Can't say that I classify myself as such, either, but it's a fabulous place. Have a great trip!
