Getting ready to pack...what's your best best packing tip?

We're definitely on our countdown now...Sunday and we'll start our US holiday starting in Las Vegas. We have left our suitcases fairly empty to take advantage of our strong Aussie dollar and shopping is first on the agenda.

Got me thinking about packing anyhow I like to use zip lock bags for EVERYTHING...what's your favorite packing tip ? And the one thing you can't leave at home?

Bring comfortable shoes and a bag that won't hurt your shoulder when you're walking around.

My best packing tip is to pack light, but it sounds like you're already on that!

Have a great trip!

1 simple rule...lay out all the clothes you plan to take, then put half back in the wardrobe!

Comfy Shoes No.1 Priority!!!

I always take far far too much clothes and end up wearing the same things, last year i tried really hard to cut down, and i never even noticed the difference so now i only take essentials!

And im hoping to top up my wardrobe while in Vegas so im taking even less this year! Thats part of why i love Vegas you can get away with casual clothes 99% of the time!

One definite take - kettle & tea bags.

One definite leave at home - iron.

One definite take home - excessive winnings.

I've only managed the first 2. Maybe in June I can address the third.

Have a great trip.

Sounds like you already have the shopping plan well in hand! I like a purse that I can put securely over my shoulder.....leaves my hands free and feels safer to me (plus less likely to set it down somewhere and forget it in the excitement).

Comfy shoes, and I roll my clothing when packing to help save room.

A clothespin to hold drapes together (tip from this board), and some streamers in case my room has a "sensor" to cool...

Have a great time!! Should be some nice sales when you get there.

I'm really hoping for some good shopping deals, we have been saving our splurging for our holidays ...good idea about the clothespin ( or as we call it a clothes 'peg')

I roll my trousers and put them in a zip lock bag to expell all the air it takes up less room and they never come out looking crushed.

Okay...I'll bite. Streamers? Sensors?
