All interesting, especially to those interested in Las Vegas and its history, mythology and magic.

Double or Nothing by Tom Breitling. Former owner with Tim Poster of the Nugget, a good read.

Ooh Neon Metropolis is a great one.

Another of my favorites is Resort City in the Sunbelt by Eugene P. Moehring. I picked it up at the Clark County Museum and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh, and Beyond the Glimmering Lights by Trish Geran. Really interesting book about the struggles of African Americans in Las Vegas.

I like the Lonely Planet 'Las Vegas' book, I usually don't like Lonely Planet guide books but this one is great.

"Fade, Sag, Crumble" which is a compilation of ten essays by writers commenting on the urban decay in Vegas. Named to the top 10 Vegas books list of The Guardian (UK). Recent publication.

"Beneath the Neon" and "My Week at the Blue Angel" by Matthew O'Brien. A stark examination of the oft unseen, forgotten denizens of Vegas. No ivory tower stuff here.

"The Green Felt Jungle" by Reid and Dameris. A look at mob-ruled Vegas and it's sphere of influence. Not to be confused with Huber's pool book.
