Four Queens Hotel and Casino

So, after my last post, I have decided to not stay at the Riv. I am now considering the Four Queens Hotel and Casino. I know this is downtown, which I think might be a good place for me based on what I like. What do people say about the hotel or the location. Reviews look fairly good. Is their some place else downtown I should consider?

Have you ever been to Vegas? You may very well like downtown, but if you've never been should reconsider the strip and visit downtown. Nothing saying you can't stay downtown and visit the strip, but there's much more to see on the Strip.

Have you priced things out separately? When in March are you looking? It might be a high traffic time and the package and downtown is your best bet. $470 is not a bad price from Regina, but you may be able to do better depending on your dates and if you are looking weekend or weekdays. I've found better out of Regina and S'toon. What are the flights alone worth?

Love 4Q's to play, have a Mai Tai at the bar, catch a bite at Magnolia's but I stay elsewhere. Not that it isn't a decent place to stay, I just prefer the Nugget or El Co. Might try the Plaza if you want something recently renovated.

We have stayed at 4 Queens one time. The rooms are small but were clean. We had non-smoking room which smelled like a smoking room. We should have changed rooms, but we did not our problem. The service was fine and the Mag. rest. was very good and inexpensive. All casinos are close together. The food is alot cheaper downtown and is for most cases very good. The Golden Nugget is much better, but more expensive. We did win money at the 4 Queens. Lucky Have a good trip.

Planning on going last weekend of March. Flight alone is $500 and up.

If you want to stay downtown, the 4Q's is a great choice. Very basic, but clean and easy to get in and out of. Sure the Nugget is fancier. But if you want a big fancy hotel, stay in the strip.

If the package is cheaper than flight alone then gotta go that way. If your dates are at all flexible, during the week you can get a nicer hotel for the same price as a dive on the weekend. Whichever way you go, I'm sure you'll have fun. Enjoy your trip.

The 4 Queens is a fine downtown choice if you don't expect a resort experience. If you're looking for the resort feel, stay on the strip. I love downtown for what downtown started from.

"We had non-smoking room which smelled like a smoking room."

I had the EXACT same experience as Oscar. The entire floor smelled like smoke, and the room even more so. The window opened a bit, so I left it open and ventured out to Fremont Street. When I returned the odor was reduced, but not gone. The housekeepers confirmed it was a non-smoking room. Not again - one night at the 4 Queens was enough.
