Help me decide on a hotel! Aria, Vdara or The Signature...

Already have a girl's trip planned in April at Bellagio but am so diseased that I've convinced my BF to take me to Vegas for our anniversary in May! Southwest has some great packages which include 2 show tix and I'm considering Aria, Vdara and The Signature. A great room is important to us as well as a good location (THEhotel and Encore are excluded for us due to being on the ends of the strip) and nice pool that isn't deadsville. We are ok with being in a non gaming property as the casino isn't too far away. Any thoughts?

Vdara is nice but very, very quiet. Pool area is nice but again, very subdued and a little on the small side.

I love the Signature but the last couple of times has really shown its age.

I would go for Aria out of the ones you listed. Great rooms with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, beautiful pool with an adult area called Liquid if you want more of a party scene.

We stayed at the Vdara last April, and are staying at the Aria this April. I enjoyed the Vdara myself, it was a nice retreat after being out on the strip all day/night. But, like trouble says, it is very quiet and subdued. We usually ended up at the Aria late night, for gaming, and I loved the feel of it. Thats the main reason we're trying it out this April.

Now, with that being said, you're going to have to do a bit of walking obviously from the Aria, to get out to the 'main drag'.

I've stayed at the Signature and the Aria and am about to stay at Vdata in September :)

I agree with the above comments. Sig has very nice standard rooms with a small kitchenette and potentially a balcony - both very nice features that the standard room of Aria doesn't. Sig pools are small and quiet, but you can use the MGM pool complex.

Aria is newer, has nice rooms is closer to the action (casino & midstrip) and has a great pool complex.

I think it goes like this......

Do you need a kitchette? Sig or Vdara

Do you want large pools? Sig or Aria

Do you want quiet? Sig or Vdara

Seems like Sig hits all the boxes and if I were to choose between Aria and Sig - it would be Sig

I am sure you would have a great time at all of them........

Loved the location of Vdara, with walkway over to Bellagio, easier access to tram, and non-smoking. Thought location was superior to Aria, but I am not big Crytals mall fan. Aria does have great service though, but thought Vdara also much easier to navigate, more personalized service. Location of Signature not favorite but probably good bet if staying long time (kitchen, more room) and planning on using MGM pools.

Hmmm...thanks for input thus far! Have stayed at Cosmo a few times so have walked to Vdara and have dined/gambled at Aria as well. Cosmo is just getting too $ and want to try a new place. Neither location is "far" to strip IMHO. Have read reviews on Sig (all of which are pretty good this year) and distance to strip seems to be mixed. We don't mind walking though. I was all set to book Aria then saw the $76/95 rate for Sig and became torn! $95 for 1BR at Sig! I'd book Sig direct vs package if I choose them due to $. Love rests at Aria/Cosmo/Bell but know that MGM as great ones and it is still close to lots. Really wanting to try beds at Aria that everyone raves about but Sigs gets thumbs up by many for theirs too. Like the idea of a kitchen for snacks although won't do any real cooking. Sig kitchen is outfitted while Vdara isn't, which is weird.

Aria is the only true Las Vegas hotel/casino of the 3, so it wins by default.

If you're excluding Encore and THEhotel because of location, scratch Sig off your list for the same reason.

It's not so much the time it takes to walk, it's the quality of the walk itself. Signature walk isn't that much fun, only made more tolerable if go via MGM. It seemed remote to me.

Vdara is far closer to Bellagio and Cosmopolitan (in fact thought Vdara felt like another Spa tower for Bellagio with the open air walkway attached), which I liked, and the valets are faster (I watched this last weekend). Aria was more confusing to navigate, and getting a taxi required going to far right wing of the arch when exiting - just a bit more spread out, and saw some people confused & lost rolling their bags through the ARIA casino to get to rooms. Once you know the way, are fine though. Vdara appealed to me also because non-smoking and they have 2 bedroom units.

But if you like having casino right downstairs, and more pools, agree ARIA!!! Plus Vdara has that dreaded death ray - hope they get that figured out! I too hope to stay ARIA one day soon! I just got off phone & was hoping if were to stay at Vdara, we could use the Bellagio pools, but that was a NO, only can use pools at your own hotel - no hopping.

Ugh decisions, decisions! I think Vdara is out as it may be too quiet and the pool doesn't seem that great. So it's between the Sig and Aria.
