It really depends. Where are you staying? Will you be getting a rental car?

Yes there are.

But do you really want to spend your precious Las Vegas vacation time sitting in a hotel room passing a bottle around? The bars and lounges run the gamut from dives with $1 beers to high end lounges with $15 cocktails and everything in between.

We always bring a bottle with us and have a couple while getting ready for the night. Then mix one for the road as well...a good stiff Goose/Red Bull hits the spot !!

Well if you would of said were looking to buy a bottle to have in our room so we can have a cocktail while we get ready to go out for the day that would be one thing. But you had to add how drinks are expensive at bars so that kinda makes you sound like a cheapskate just sayn'

I wouldn't bother with the duty free, there are tons of liquor stores in and around the strip that are probably cheaper then the airport, and you don't have to lug a couple bottles into the plane with you. They sell booze at Walgreens for pete's sake.

If you post where you're staying I'm sure someone call tell you where the nearest liquor store is.

I always buy alcohol for the room, never thought it was "cheap".....Kind of depends where you are staying, but The Orleans/Gold Coast has a 1.75L of whiskey for about 15 dollars..and good prices on almost everything else....I'v found that the more times you visit Vegas, the "waste precious Vegas vacation time" is silly! I always take many breaks in the room and it is good to have something to drink and snack on..JMO. of course..
