If this is your first time in Vegas, I would take any room at the Flamingo over any room at Hard Rock. Flamingo has an excellent location in the center of the strip. Hard Rock is about a mile away from anything else - OK if you have a car and have been to Vegas before, but not for a first timer / someone without a car.

I have actually never stayed at Flamingo - I have been in the casino a bunch of times.

It all depends on your budget. Obviously places like Bellaigo, Venetian, Wynn, etc... will be much nicer, but also cost alot more.

For good, clean, budget minded hotels, I would consider Flamingo, Bills Gambling Hall, or Ballys. (I have stayed at both Ballys and Bills)

Some websites that have coupon codes (codes that you use when booking DIRECTLY with the hotel, not a 3rd party).

We have stay at the Flamingo for the last 4 years and love it we always stay in the Go Rooms . Last year we stay in one overlooking the pool great view. I would not go any lower than the go room.

We stayed at a Go Luxury with strip view room at the Flammy in fall of 2010. It was a terrific room and was about $75 or $85 a night.

We are booked in a Luxury Go Room at the Flamingo. I requested a room w/ a view of the fountains so hopefully they can accomadate that request. Thanks everyone for your input!

Flamingo here hands down.Lots within walking distance including the Bellagio, Caesars , and all the CET properties.Good choice here because it is so in the middle of everything.

I don't like the basic rooms at Flamingo because they are often old and worn, but I'd rather stay there than Hard Rock because Hard Rock is isoated, and it's hard to get a taxi there when it's busy like after a concert. Have a great trip.
