Grandfathered In at Blackjack

Do the strip hotels still grandfather you in when they raise the BJ limits?

In all of my experience, yes, they still grandfather you in.

Caesars did not grandfather people in at some of their "other" games, such as Three Card Poker.

This varies by casino. It's not as common to grandfather as it once was. More than likely, you'll get a warning that minimums will be going up after the current shoe is over. That said, grandfathering still happens a lot. At Mirage, they seem to be willing to do so, but I wasn't able to at Luxor or Caesars.

The Venetian/Palazao stop allowing "grandfathering" over a year ago.

Based on my most recent experiences. Planet Hollywood and Rio do not. I was told by one of the pit bosses at PH in July that none of the CET properties grandfather you in at the blackjack tables anymore.

We were just at Golden Nugget. They DID grandfather you in when playing Blackjack. Don't know about other places.

Can't speak for blackjack, but the Stratosphere did not grandfather me in at craps last July. The table was exceedingly hot at the time and the only motive to raise the stakes was to cool it off. $10 craps at the Strat at 3:00 in the afternoon is certainly not the norm.

It worked, as every player but one (myself included) cashed in and walked.
