When gas goes up flight prices go up. I checked out flights at 3pm at work when I got home at 6 to book it was an extra $50 a person and that was back in Febuary.

Yes, it's wicked. Summer is pricey anyway, and now fuel prices are high, too. Even SW prices are high. We paid $140 rt to Vegas from Denver in January, now the price is $200. A trip to Orlando we booked months ago at $260 is now $400. As for international flights, you might be able to buy a decent car for as much as the fares are now.

They did jump up quickly. I booked MDW-LAS for $92 each way a month ago (fare lasted about 24 hours). The same flights today are 230 our and 290 back. So glad I hit a good deal or I wouldnt be taking this trip

barrassyard, who are you flying with? From where. That is a great price. I paid over £200 more than that for June.

It depends heavily based on your travel dates. I'm keeping an eye out for August flights, and there was no noticeable price difference either up or down.

In general, there is never a warning about price increases/decreases.

I think it all depends on your dates and if you feel committed to certain flight times. I have been watching flight prices from SYR to LAS for the past six months and they have only gone up about $20 in that time (I look at the kayak calendar).

I don't think you can touch a round trip flight from SYR at less than $400 these days. I usually fly midweek to keep fares down. What dates are you looking at?

We are flying Virgin from Manchester in September. When we booked our premium economy seat in November they were £1200 each and economy was about £740.

I looked a few days ago and economy was sold out and premium economy was £2500 ! (1st class was £3500)
