Parking

Where is the best place to park if we want to get to Caesars Palace 1 night and planet hollywood another night? Is it best just to park at these properties or is there a central lot close to these areas?

Just valet at each of the places, only costs a few bucks :)

If there's a concert, won't it take forever to get your car after the show if you valet park?

oh, sorry! I am not sure!! I have not taken my car and gone to a concert there. I am probably not the right person to ask then. If you could kill some time after the concert by stopping somewhere for a drink? maybe that would be helpful?

Maybe I am missing something but why can't you just park in the garage of the casino you are going to visit??? Probably closer than parking away from the destination (in another casino garage)

Your choice to valet or not but I don't like waiting for my car so I just find a spot in the huge garages and that's that. Not one of my major concerns...

I've parked in Caesars self parking garage lots of times and its really easy to get in and out of, the ramps are pretty steep, but other than that its easy to navigate. I wouldn't look for a central point, its probably easier to park at the casino you want to visit rather that go elsewhere. I've never parked in Planet Hollywood so I can't help you there I'm afraid.

After any large event or show or concert gets out, the valets get swamped. But it is usually not too bad. If you use the self-parking garage, you then have to deal with the traffic from everyone else who is using the self-parking garage and who just got out of the show/concert/event at the same time as you.

I find that spending some time in the casino or a restaurant or .... after the show allows the crowds to disburse so that I don't have to fight them.

The Bellagio lot is central to both Caesar's and PH.

However, I agree with others that it would be much more convenient to park where you are staying. (Assuming you are staying at Caesar's one night, and PH the next???)

I agree with the self-parking garage at Caesar's, but if you want to self-park at PH, you will have to walk through the Miracle Mile mall to get into the casino. The valet parking at PH is much more convenient.

You could always just take cabs if you don't want to deal with parking.

Thanks everyone! All great feedback! We will have a rental car since we'll be driving to the strip each night for dinner & various events. It sounds like the parking is a simple task. We don't mind walking but I was just looking for the most convenient location to park. What is the walking distance from Bellagio to Caesars or PH? They appear to be beside each other?

If you want to park at Caesars for a concert go to the Coloseum Valet...not many people use it...when you enter the main Caesars drive from the Strip, don't go left up to the front door, go RIGHT, down under the underpass, you'll follow signs to the back...that drops you off right into the Forum Casino, near the theater and the Forum shops. I think there is self parking back there, too, but we are valeters, and to show you how slow it is back there, instead of the regular tear-off receipt with a number, they give you sort of a playing card, and our car is always parked right up front. We honestly have never parked there for the theater so it might be a little busier at that time but nothing like what the lines are like out front.
